Today, International Women's Day is observed as an official holiday in some nations but is mostly ignored in others. If we read the news, we can see tha, It is a day of protest in some places and a day of celebration in others. International Women's Day also acts as a call to action for greater gender equality.

What is the importance of this day

This day has been honored since the early 1900s and is now celebrated worldwide all over the world. Women from all walks of life have stood up in the last year to start a debate about challenges that women still face, such as gender equality and sexual attacks. Although women are respected and should be honored on all days, people demonstrate their appreciation for women especially on this day.

Women are granted a day off at some workplaces on this day, while others reward them with special gifts or incentives. The primary goal of celebrating Women's Day is to make women happy.
