India has produced great businessmen with great minds. With their hard work and dedication, these businessmen have become famous all over the world. Many people consider them as their role model. I will be talking about one such role successful businessman of India.

Who is he?

The person is Dhirajlal "Dhirubhai" Hirachand Ambani. He also goes by the name Dhirubhai Ambani. He founded the Reliance Industries in Bombay with his cousin. He was among the top 50 businessman in India according to Sunday times.

How do you know him?

I know him because of my father. My father was a fan of the ways Dhirubhai Ambani worked. I had always seen him in the news and heard about him from my father. Ambani took Reliance Industries public in 1977 and by 2002, the combined fortune of the family was $6 billion. In 2016, after his death in 2002, he was awarded with the Padma Bhushan for his contributions in

trade and industry.

Why do you admire him?

I admire him because of the way he single-handedly brought Reliance to the top. Now, Reliance owns most market shares and is the top leading brand in the country. The first office of the Reliance Commercial Corporation was set up at the Narsinatha Street. It was a room with

a telephone, one table and three chairs. He hired two assistants to help him. Today Reliance has 386 thousand employees in fiscal year 2023. This is what Dhirubhai Ambani must have dreamt of.

I love watching business related videos and movies. I have known many businessmen and their life stories. The one that I admire the most is also known by “The Man of Steel” in the business world.

Who is he?

He is the executive chairman of ArcelorMittal, the world's second-largest steelmaking company, as well as chairman of stainless steel manufacturer Aperam. He is Indian, but now settled in the United Kingdom. His name is Lakshmi Mittal with net worth estimated to be USD 1,690 crores

How do you know him?

I know him because of the business that runs into my family. My family has always followed great businessmen and their strategies. In 1994 the Mittal family business was split. Mittal's initial success overseas helped him decide that his future lay outside India. Since he wanted to avoid conflicts among the family, he went to UK and settled there.

Why do you admire him?

I admire him because of his guts and valor. In 2005, Forbes magazine ranked Mittal as the third-richest person in the world. This made him the first Indian citizen in the list of the world's richest people. He made his fortune, and that is what I like and admire about him.

Imagination and dedication for a correct cause can give life to business. India is now booming with startups and many are considered leading in the market. One such business which recently blasted all over India was OYO Rooms.

Who is he?

I am talking about Ritesh Agarwal who is the founder and CEO of OYO Rooms. In 2011, Agarwal started an Airbnb equivalent called "Oravel Stays". He received a grant of $100,000 and the company was launched as OYO Rooms in May 2013.

How do you know him?

I know him from Shark Tank, India. He was the youngest shark to be featured in Shark Tank India 2013. He became a shark very soon, which was very encouraging for young entrepreneurs.

Why do you admire him?

I admire him because of his thinking and market knowledge. He understood the gap in the market and launched rooms at cheaper rates. There was no age limit and young people were encouraged to rent OYO rooms. The hotels also got more business, which boosted the OYO rooms in India. Now, OYO Rooms can be found all over India. The hotels and buildings were rebranded under OYO Rooms. The company took compensation from hotels for using the banner. This business model is one of the best that I have seen till date.
