Winning a prize makes the person feel accomplished and happy. Not only that, but prizes are also a great motivator that pushes us to work even harder. There is one prize that I would love to achieve in my life. It is the first prize in the marathon race that is organized in my city each year. The main goal of this marathon race is to raise awareness about fatal diseases, such as cancer.The winner of the marathon is also given a reward of a Rs 1 lakh cheque, along with other token prizes such as a certificate, trophy, and a medal. In the very previous year, one of my closest friends decided to take part in the race, and he even ended up winning the second prize. He covered a distance of 42 km, in only a span of about 3 hours.

I have since then learned that participating and finishing a marathon is mostly about mental preparation. I allowed myself a good few months to train prior to the event. I started by running several times a week, and then by 16 weeks, I gradually built up to those miles. Training for a marathon obviously requires a lot of running, and therefore quite a lot of time. I aimed for five to six sessions per week, time-dependent. I also made one of those days a double-run day, so that I still ended up with a rest day. I would like to win this because it's a prestigious award and comes with a cheque which I can use to donate to the old age home and orphanage that I am associated with.

I am a fan of fashion and I am currently working as a fashion designer. I also own a unisex clothing and accessory store where I keep my own designed clothes. The award that I want to win is the India Fashion Awards. I came to know about this award from one of my regular customers. One day he visited the store to buy some clothing and while discussing fashion, he came up with the name of the award.

I was so mesmerized by seeing the honor and the names associated with it, that I thought of nominating myself. I am creating my own fashion and trying to improve them since I have submitted my name. I have started working and practicing on different types of fashion accessories also. This will help to improve my knowledge. I am working almost the whole day to create new pieces of garments which can be displayed at the contest. Also, I have started taking professional classes and it is helping me a lot to improve my knowledge on fashion. If I win the prize, I will be able to extend my brand of fashion and the money will help to make the shop bigger. I will also open other outlets throughout the city and I do hope that I will become a big brand one day with the recognition that comes with the prize.

I have always dreamt of winning one of the most prestigious awards in the photography world which is “Wildlife photographer of the Year”. It is an international award which is hosted by the National History museum in London. There are various categories under which the nomination can be submitted. I came to know about this award from my friend who is also a photographer and had submitted his photography piece last year. I have always loved wildlife photography and as it is related to wildlife photography, I am very interested and excited at the same moment to submit my nomination. I have started preparing for the competition. I will be going on a tour to all the renowned forests in India starting with Dooars. The tour will start next week and I have already purchased the required lenses for the tour. This will be one of the longest tours and I am hoping to get great pictures of mother nature and its children. There are different categories under which one can submit the nominations. Some of the categories are Mammals, Plants, birds, underwater etc. I will be focusing on plants, birds, reptiles and mammals. All the preparation had to be done and the best images needed to be produced to win the award. I have already started to focus on skills and I am currently learning more on photography via online sessions. If I win this award, I will be getting opportunities to learn wildlife photography in one of the best forests of the world, which is the Amazon. Also, with the prize money, I will be traveling all over the world and will focus on career growth. The money will also help me with the financial needs.
