Answer 1:
where is it?
In my city, one area that is rapidly being developed is the residential area located close to the main road, not too far from the center. This area has undergone a radical change, from what it used to be. It used to consist mainly of independent houses and land.
how is it changing?
However, one of the major changes evident is the rise of apartment buildings and residential estates. There are new roads, lighting along these roads, and a higher number of shopping centers, supermarkets, and cafes compared to the past. In addition to that, public transport has also been made easily accessible to facilitate commuting to various parts of town.
why is it changing?
This is primarily being driven by the increase in population and urbanization. People are moving to the city in search of better job opportunities, thus boosting the demand for residential spaces. Property developers have shown tremendous interest in real estate development in the region, which is quite favorable with regards to its location.
and explain how you feel about this change?
I have mixed reactions regarding this development. On one hand, I feel that the development of infrastructure and facilities has made life easier and more comfortable. On the other hand, I feel that the area is very crowded, with less green space compared to before. In general, I feel that the development is good, but I hope that the relevant authorities take note of greenery and traffic flow.
Answer 2:
where is it?
One area that is under transformation in my city is the old market area, which is located at the center of the city. This area has always been very busy and typical, but lately, it has been under major renovations.
how is it changing?
These include improved road width, drainage systems, and renovated shop facades. Most of the old buildings are undergoing preservation, as opposed to tearing them down, and some new business complexes have also been brought into operation. Electronic payment methods and designed parking lots have improved customer convenience when shopping.
why is it changing?
The primary cause behind this change is modernization and tourism development. The local government intends to keep this historical significance of this market intact and also ensure that this place is safer and more appealing to tourists. As there are increasing tourists and locals, modern infrastructure became a need.
and explain how you feel about this change?
I feel relatively positive about this. It is great to see that the area is becoming cleaner and organized without sacrificing its traditional character. At the same time, I am a bit worried that the small local businesses may not find a way to stay afloat with the costs going up. Nevertheless, I feel that this is overall a positive transition for the city.
Answer 3:
where is it?
Another part of my city that changes very quickly is the IT and business establishment situated at the outskirts of my city. A few years back, this place had least developments with lots of empty spaces, very little infrastructure, and no activity at all. Very rarely would people come to this place unless they had some purpose to accomplish.
how is it changing?
The current scenario is entirely different from the past. Today, this region is home to contemporary office spaces, technology parks, and shared working places that facilitate start-ups and Multinationals alike. Along with that, numerous shopping malls, cafes, restaurants, and gyms have also emerged to accommodate working professionals. There has also been a sudden improvement in public transport, with new metro routes and flyovers, making it easier to commute. Because of this, this region is always busy and bustling, even in the late night hours.
why is it changing?
This swift change in the area mostly occurs as a result of the expansion of business setups undertaken by many firms and their selection of this region for opening their offices. It has been attracted by the availability of land, development in the infrastructure network, and the good government initiatives. Moreover, easier connectivity between workplaces and resident areas has been a contributing factor.
and explain how you feel about this change?
I feel very positive about this shift because it has given rise to many employment opportunities and thus contributed positively towards the development of our local economy. On the other hand, certain issues exist that can be named as increased traffic flow and pollution. I feel that these challenges can be effectively dealt with by planning or managing them wisely, thereby leading to sustainable development. This development signifies progress within our urban development framework.
