Topic: Students learn far more with their teachers than other sources (the Internet or television). To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Model Answer1:

The advancement of internet technology has brought drastic changes in the world, including learning and education. While people believe in the phrase "Old is Gold" and think the traditional student-teacher method is the best way to gain knowledge. Whereas another segment of people thinks the internet to be an opportunity to gain valuable information worldwide.

To begin with, I want to make it clear that being an old-school type guy, I am both on the side of digital education and traditional student-teacher learning. The Internet can provide an innumerous number of information regarding any subject with easy explanation and details. The student can learn about things he wants in a more vivid form. Self-motivated learners can use the internet for self-study. Some students still rely on YouTube tutorials for explanation and understanding and also they are scoring good marks for it. Usually, YouTube and other internet sites have got numerous explanations and videos and thus give a variety of options for the students to choose from. Most importantly, he can find the way of explanation he wants from the World Wide Web. A tutorial video can be played several times till the concept of the student is clear. The traditional student-teacher curriculum has a rigid system of study. The student's knowledge is only limited to the syllabus and books. This hinders the potential of a student. There are many other things that the student does not get aware of. Sometimes the way of explanation from teachers is very difficult and hard to understand.

On the other hand, some people believe in traditional learning because of the experience and perfect guidance of the teachers. Face-to-face interaction is more necessary according to them during learning. The teacher can share their experience which can be useful for the students. There are also mathematical and architectural subjects that cannot be done via internet learning. Clearance of doubts is also a big issue in internet learning.

Thus to conclude, I believe internet media has brought changes in the education system but there should be a perfect blend of student-teacher learning and internet learning so that the student can get valuable information and experience both.

Model Answer2:

It is an undeniable fact that students get more information and learning via the internet and other media as these have become an indispensable part of the education system, but I believe teachers play a more significant role in education and shaping the life of a student. When students learn lessons from their teachers in a classroom, the information they gain is in-depth and interactive. They can raise their doubts and issues regarding any topic. Interacting is a very important part of traditional teacher-student teaching. The students can interact with their teacher and make the session more interesting with knowledge and ideas. This is the way by which the student reaches comprehensiveness. Moreover, the teacher can give special attention to the students. Teachers can guide and motivate them to become successful. The experience shared by the teachers is very valuable for the students.

On the other hand, students are studying via online platforms and the internet. This system has both merits and drawbacks. Firstly they can manage and economize their time by avoiding the physical presence in the classroom and scheduling their study whenever they want. They get extra information by searching on the internet. However, learning over the internet has disadvantages too. Sometimes they become too lazy and avoid watching video lectures by delaying them for later. The internet videos on educational topics are sometimes limited and rigid. Although, when they surf the internet, they get encountered by other irrelevant topics and as a result, their minds get diverted.

To conclude, I believe the internet and other media are educational but live interaction with teachers is very much important.

Model Answer 3:

Education plays a pivotal role in the life of students. Today the young generation is considered smarter than the previous ones. They use gadgets and technologies easily. Speaking on the topic of education, I believe teachers in schools and universities teach better and students learn far better from them as compared to TV or internet learning.

Teachers teach students in the simplest form which the Tv and internet cannot even if the subject is complex. They can give personal attention to the students who are weak in certain subjects and can guide them to be better. Teachers can share their experiences and ways to manage time during the examination hall which internet learning cannot. Moreover, the practicals are conducted by the teachers and not by any internet videos or gadgets. Even Sports and other refreshments are not done virtually. A student can never learn science practicals or sports via the internet or Tv. No doubt the internet has got a wide variety of educational videos and content and can be a great practice of learning, but sometimes the students do not follow their aim when they have access to the internet. They use more of it for fun purposes rather than studying. The fear of students in face-to-face interaction with teachers will induce the student to work harder to avoid punishment and this will eventually help him in the long run.

Thus to conclude, I believe teachers are an alma mater in a student's life and they can read the students the way no internet or tv learning can. So students can learn far better with teachers rather than internet learning.
