Student Services IELTS Listening Answers

Student Services IELTS Listening Answers is a conversation between three people. Two of them are students and one is the councilor. The conversation has a list of questions to understand the student service in the university. The candidate needs to answer the following question types:

  • Use no more than three words

In this type of questions, candidates are required to answer the question within three words. Answers should not exceed three words.

The IELTS Listening section tests a candidate’s listening ability. The candidates are required to listen to an audio and then answer the given IELTS listening questions.

Question 1:

Answer: student accommodation/hostel
Explanation
:
The student counselor asks the students about their time in cambridge. On asking where she lived, Kate responded that she lived in the student accommodation. Where did you live here means types of accommodation.

Question 2:

Answer: awful food
Explanation
:
The counselor says that Kate did not have to worry about cooking as she was in the hostel. Kate says that she wished she had because the food was awful. This was the feelings she expressed about the accommodation.

Answer: not friendly//kept to themselves (do not accept “lonely”)
Explanation
:
The counselor asks about other students. Kate says she did not make many friends. People seem to keep to themselves and are not very friendly. Hence, not being friendly is the correct answer.

On asking about the course, Kate says it was pretty good but it was busy as she did not get time to keep contact with lecturers. The only time she had a chance to talk to them was on a field trip.

:
On asking about studies, Luki says that he is studying a bachelor of computing. The counselor also confirms that by repeating bachelor of computing.

Explanation
:
Luki says that it is very difficult to find a computer in the computer lab. It makes it very hard to do practical work. Luki says it would certainly help if they could have reserved computer time. The counselor says that they are looking into that.
