Currently, diabetes has emerged as a common disease that is found mainly among middle-aged people all over the world. As a result, the governments in several countries are taking preventive measures to control the disease. The government introduces a system of special taxes on foods and beverages with high sugar levels. Some people feel that the government has taken this step for the welfare of the community. However, there are many people who deny this step taken by the government. In this essay, I am discussing both the views points of the people. I completely agree with the step taken by the government and believe this step will lead to a healthier and better nation.

Some people believe that these additional taxes imposed by the government will only make them richer. The government mainly introduces these taxes to fill their coffers with more additional money. Furthermore, this extra tax-paying system tends to enhance the financial burden of middle-class society. There are many people who are unable to pay these taxes and are deprived of buying these sugary products. Moreover, a decrease in demand resulted in significant losses incurred by the manufacturers.

On the other hand, this preventive measure that the government has undertaken would dissuade people from consuming these beverages and foods with high sugar levels. Nowadays, it has been analysed that lots of children are suffering from hypertension and obesity. Moreover, adults are victims of acute diabetes. Therefore, I believe it would be beneficial not only for the children but also for the adults. This measure will control the increasing rate of diabetic patients and will reduce private and public spending on medical treatment.

Therefore, it can be inferred that it seems to be a severe step taken by the government. However, I support this preventive measure since it will improve the health condition of the community and will make society a better place for living.

Nowadays, people enjoy consuming high-sugar quick food and beverages. Also highly sugared products and beverages provide instant energy. Numerous governments imposed new tariffs on food and beverages. While it may be for the betterment of people as high sugar can affect their health. Diseases like obesity, diabetes ets can be experienced. Few people think that's a fair offer, while others think it's a bad concept. The following paragraphs of this essay will describe both the elements and provide adequate justifications.

First, there are many advantages to new taxes. The new taxes are excellent in the first place from the perspective of health. The price of unhealthy food rises due to the additional taxes, resulting in health problems. Due to high rates, the sales ratio will decrease. In the end, individuals are eating healthier meals and drinking less alcohol. For instance, the GST that the Indian government recently applied to food and drink has an effect on the health of the nation.

However, it also has a negative aspect that causes problems for humanity. Texas actually increased the cost of fast food and beverages. And those who lived far from their families consumed this kind of food. However, the cost presents a challenge for them. This circumstance will have a negative impact on their financial status. For instance, the GST is causing financial problems for employers.

According to me, it has more drawbacks than benefits, thus it's not a wonderful offer for students and workers who are lodging in PGs and hostels. Their cost on such beverages will affect their overall financial situation.

Special taxes have both benefits and drawbacks, to sum up. The advantage is that it improves people's health, while the disadvantage is the high cost. People are still buying beverages. Taxes might increase their cost but they still will fall into the category of affordable for many people. While for students it will be beneficial as it will prevent them from many diseases.

While students and many youngsters might be consuming high sugar ignoring their health. High sugar products are a threat to everyone’s health. Sugar intake might also result in mood swings and mood disorders. Governments are taking preventive measures to control this by adding / by the establishment of additional taxes on foods and beverages with high sugar levels. Although many people think that this is a great move by the government, some contend that it may not actually be beneficial. I shall discuss both points of view in this essay and defend the first one.

In conclusion, even though it may seem like a strict measure done by the governing bodies. I think it can actually prove to be quite beneficial for everyone and will make them healthier and more physically fit.
