Band 7 IELTS Essay

Numerous educational institutions have already adopted the relatively new trend of online education in order to provide their courses. While there are some drawbacks to this evolution that cannot be overlooked, they are greatly outweighed by its benefits. First off, many colleges in wealthy nations now provide online degrees and short courses, but they didn't start doing this until after careful consideration. The study established the benefits of online learning for both students and instructors. The rigorous and intuitive lessons provided by an online course are developed by a number of university professors and technology professionals. So they uphold a strict standard. Because of how frequently individuals use the Internet, enrolling in a course is convenient without taking distance or time into account. Thousands of professionals, stay-at-home moms, and seniors have been drawn to this trend to further their education or enrol in courses of their choosing. For instance, up to 25,000 housewives in the USA finish their selected online courses and degrees each year. With so many housewives and working professionals, it was impossible for them to enrol in traditional classroom-based courses. In contrast to traditional classrooms, Internet-based courses are also simpler to follow and allow students to retake the same lectures whenever necessary. Thus, a large number of students have indicated that their preferred learning resources include the prominent Internet-based online course websites. Internet-based learning has made it possible for many skill-development online courses. Such as those that have helped thousands of young people seek careers in technology. The cost and lack of competent instructor supervision are the drawbacks of this trend. A poor student frequently finds it impossible to afford the pricey courses offered by top universities. A student's performance frequently depends much on the guidance provided by their teachers, and an online course cannot adequately replace that support. In conclusion, online education represents a significant step toward a society free from unemployment and illiteracy. Therefore, despite the fact that it lacks the teacher's incentive and direct supervision, its development is incredibly positive.

Some universities offer online courses to students. It has both pros and cons. These online courses offer an opportunity to students who have no facility of traveling away from their homes to continue their studies. They are relieved from the hassles of the daily journey in the hot and summer seasons, and also the transportation expenditure is saved in this way. The students who do not have good marks, and are unable to apply to regular courses. Get an opportunity to choose their favorite courses and complete their studies in an Online mode.

The main question is whether the student gets a quality education in online mode or not? There are some students who are very serious about their studies, but due to some problem, they are unable to go to offline classes. These types of students will be serious in their studies irrespective of the mode of teaching. But there are some children who need some kind of guidance which is only possible in offline classes. Such students will not be serious in the Online classes. Again there are some highly introverted students, who hardly interact in classes.

Their interaction will be further reduced if they are taught in Online mode. This is because as they are not in front of the teacher physically, they will not speak up about any doubts or anything which he or she wants to say. The teaching technique which is used by the teacher in the online classes is another important thing that can change the motivation level of the student. There are some teachers who can teach very well in the online class. But again the maximum number are unable to deliver their ideas to the students which they would have done better if taught offline. Moreover, internet issues are everywhere. It might happen that a very serious student has an internet issue and he/she could not attend the class due to the problem. This will severely impact the growth of the student. Thus online courses have both pros and cons.

Band 6 IELTS Essay

Due to technological development, there has been a new model of teaching which is Online teaching. In this pattern of studies, the students can learn or study from their homes itself. This is advantageous not only for the students but also for the unemployed. Though it has many advantages, the disadvantages also come hand in hand.

The maximum proportion of our population lives in rural areas. They cannot afford the education offered in the metropolitan cities. Now the rural people or students can also get the opportunity to do the online courses of their choice, that have been offered by some of the reputed colleges. Without bearing the expenditure of living in a metropolitan city.

The online courses are also given at a discounted rate with live or pre-recorded classes. The online classes are either provided by university professionals or by working professionals in that field. Courses like engineering, painting, music, sketching, etc are provided through the online mode. The online courses also offer a great deal of knowledge and hands-on experience. Which further helps the students pursuing these online courses to be advanced in /her professional life. But there are some disadvantages also of these online courses. Some think that Online courses are not as effective as the traditional teaching method. They are still of the view that teacher-student face-to-face interaction is very important for a learner.

They also think that the online method of teaching is not the best method of delivering knowledge for the teacher. That is, the teacher can deliver their lectures in a better way in offline classes than in online classes. The doubts of the students, which arise in their mind, while the class is going on, could be easily clarified in offline class. Online classes find it tough to solve the issues. This is actually very true. Since the online professors or teachers use different forums where the students can clear their doubts. It Becomes a tiresome duty for the teacher to go through them one by one and clear the doubts. It may even happen that the doubt of the students is not cleared in the first instance. Then there are some who feel lethargic to approach the forum for the second time. Thus the doubts remain unclear in the mind of the students. It has been also noticed that the children doing online courses suffer from various health hazards. Like eye-sight problems or headaches, due to the long hours of sitting in front of the computer. Thus online courses have both advantages and disadvantages.
