Band 6 IELTS Essay

Nowadays, there is a greater propensity for people to relocate to urban areas, which is seen favourably by many. But in my opinion, the drawbacks of this tendency exceed the benefits. The primary factor that should be mentioned is the advantage of moving to a city as well as the reason why people do so.

We all know that living in a city opens up a lot of fantastic employment chances and helps a lot of individuals with their money. In addition, living in an urban environment can offer us a variety of useful services. This could include reliable educational institutions, access to contemporary technology, and so forth. Urban modernity has the potential to open up our communication and bring us closer to many different civilizations throughout the world. Last but not least, health care in cities is frequently better and more reliable than in rural areas. Since hospitals in cities may have more up-to-date medical equipment and more qualified staff. Similar to what I've indicated, an increase in urban population might have a number of negative effects that outweigh the positive ones listed above. The infrastructure of a city may suffer as a result of population growth, to start. As a result of air pollution caused by increasing traffic congestion, urban ecology may deteriorate. Families with little resources may also experience more house-related issues. Slum dwellers will have health issues as well as other difficulties if people's standard of life declines. The government will also have to deal with a rise in crime, which poses a risk to the lives of its citizens, as a result of rapid population growth. In conclusion, the only urbanizations that may have significant advantages and constitute a good development would be planned ones. Since unintended consequences may outweigh intended benefits, they should be avoided.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

People are more likely to move to metropolitan regions these days, which is something that many people view favourably. However, I believe this inclination has more negative effects than positive ones. The main point that needs to be covered is the benefit of moving to a city and the explanation for why people do so. Everyone is aware that living in a city provides many wonderful career opportunities and aids many people with their financial situation.

Furthermore, being in an urban area can provide us with a range of beneficial services. Such as access to modern technology, reputable educational institutions, and so forth. Urban modernity has the ability to improve communication and increase our understanding of several other civilizations throughout the globe. Last but not least, health care in urban regions is typically better and more dependable than in rural areas. As urban hospitals may have more modern medical technology and more experienced employees. Similar to what I've said, an increase in urban population could result in a variety of unfavourable effects that outweigh the beneficial ones mentioned above. In the beginning, population increase may have an adverse effect on a city's infrastructure. Urban ecology may degrade as a result of the air pollution brought on by rising traffic congestion. A greater number of housing-related problems may also affect families with limited means. If people's quality of life degrades, slum residents will face health problems as well as other challenges. Moreover, as a result of the rapid increase in population, the government will have to deal with an increase in crime that endangers the lives of its residents. As a result, only planned urbanizations have the potential to be highly advantageous and to contribute to a good development. Unwanted outcomes should be avoided since they could outweigh planned advantages.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

These days, it is more common for people to relocate to urban areas, which is something that many people find positive. However, I think this tendency has more detrimental impacts than advantageous ones. The primary issue that needs to be addressed is the advantage of relocating to a city and the justification for why individuals do so.

But today everyone in the society is aware of the fact that living in the city opens up a wide range of fantastic employment prospects. And it helps a lot of individuals with their financial position. Furthermore, living in an urban region can offer us access to a variety of helpful services. Such as cutting-edge technology, recognised educational institutions, and so forth. Urban modernization has the power to enhance communication and broaden our awareness of numerous other world civilizations. It is true that urban hospitals may have more advanced medical equipment and more seasoned staff. It means that health treatment in metropolitan locations is often safer and more stable than in rural areas. Similar to what I've stated, a growth in urban inhabitants may have a number of negative repercussions that outweigh the positive advantages mentioned above. An initial negative impact on current infrastructure may result from population growth. Because of the increased air pollution from growing traffic congestion, the urban environment may deteriorate. Families with inadequate resources may experience an increased number of housing-related issues. Slum dwellers will have health issues as well as other difficulties if their standard of living declines. Additionally, due to the population growth, authorities would have to take several actions. The administration will have to manage with a rise in criminal activity that puts the lives of its citizens in jeopardy. Therefore, only urbanizations that have been carefully planned have the chance to be very beneficial and to aid in positive development. Because they might outweigh the benefits intended, undesirable consequences should be avoided.
