Topic: Some people think that there should be some strict controls about noise. Others think that they could just make as much noise as they want. Discuss.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

We all know that every one of us has the privilege to produce noise but matter how long or the consistency of exposure to the same. Many of us would likely hear music, sing Karaoke, or arrange to get together to get rid of day-to-day stress and tensions. But prolonged exposure to such noises is prone to bring physical and psychological impact. Technical developments and increased population in big Towns face noise pollution and chaos. People argue that they have all the right to make a sound if so, how much exposure to sound bothers others in all aspects. I believe that excessive noise should not disturb others and just because of our sake of pleasure and entertainment should not control others from their routine.

People have the right to make sounds whenever they want to. They are privileged to sing songs, listen to music at the greatest decibels that never go beyond the limit. Government should control noise pollution by setting up appropriate limits. It is 70 DB measured as a maximum volume that never injures our health and mind. We are cautioned to make a sound to that extent that does not irritate our neighbors. Our neighbors file a complaint against us to stop such nuisance that results in a conflict as our neighbor requires calmness to concentrate on work or to sleep, etc.

Despite the right to make sound, I strongly believe in controlling the noise and keeping it under the threshold. A University student may neighbor us or a sick patient may live next to us but making excessive noise would disturb their harmony. The student gets trapped from learning due to high decibel get together or the sick ones may get distracted from sleep due to excessive sound pollution.

I conclude we can control making noise that prevents others from doing their work. It would sound better than its decibel levels. Despite the fact that we all can make a sound as per our birthrights, we can control the volume and intensity of exposure to the limits.

Band 6 IELTS Essay

People believe in controlling noise or sound if that distracts other people’s attention. But I strongly believe producing sound without the intention of disturbing others is appreciated and requires no restrictions. Government accepts freedom of making noise and allows a resistance of sound beyond limits. Going beyond the limits would grab the attention of working personalities.

From one point of view, making sound is not noise production, it is a sign of recreational activity. Listening to good music, singing along to a song, and tapering a rap is not just noise itself. These are stress busters to come out of mechanical routines. Singing or cheering in a football match, festival occasions, and get-together parties are part of recreation activities. Technological developments have lent various ways to extract the excess of noise. Soundproof doors, windows, walls, and roofs help to prevent an excess of noise or sound. Students, elders, and sick people can use technical support to escape sound pollution or aggressive noise.

At the same time, prolonged exposure to excess noise would cause physical ailments. High blood pressure, hearing impairment, insomnia, and numbness are few medical defects due to high degree sound pollution. Elders, sick individuals are vulnerable to noise pollution and it is our responsibility not to disturb others just for the cause of making a sound. A University student preparing for an examination or thesis would be distracted with over-sound. He is continuously interrupted just because of the over sound or noise produced by his neighbor. Living in a too noisy place is not an ideal choice and it would cause regular headaches and related illnesses apart from interrupting the working environment.

Making sound unnecessarily is a disruptive manner that is strictly prohibited. The government set appropriate regulations to abide by sound production. If anybody seems to violate the law, people file litigation for the prohibition of sound-producing regulations.

To conclude the essay, producing noise is acceptable unless it does not worry oneself. People shall enjoy their privilege to produce sound but be cautious it does not cross the limit to trouble fellowship. As fine exposure would damage the physical harmony of people, it is advised not to intertwine the limit.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Redundant sound is not abused to eradicate but it is a sign of relaxation and fun. Beware it would cause physical impairment in victims of sound pollution. First of all, sound-producing is a daily activity that cannot be reposed but limitations can exert reduced impairment of bodily organs. I deny restrictions to produce sound but accept not to create noise or sound put one’s oar.

In one aspect, noise or sound production is indispensable. You can express your feelings with the help of producing sound. But beware that your sound never hurts anybody. Any public events like sports, festivals, government occasions demand sound production. Sound is indispensable that relaxes your stress and makes you feel comfortable. If you feel exhausted, singing songs or playing karaoke would be beneficial. Producing sound is a sign of recreation and part of togetherness that brings joy. Also, we can protect ourselves from the effects of noise pollution. Technological elegance disproves health impairment arising out of sound pollution. One can extract excess noise with the help of technology. So, it is not a billion-dollar question to raise what if noise exposure is prolonged. You can protect your ears from unrest.

In another aspect, a noisy environment would deplete health benefits. As people are used to noisy atmospheres, the chances of non-communicable diseases like heart impairment, raised blood pressure and others are at stake. People believe producing sound or creating noise is their right to execute but be cautious of inviting health hazards at your expense. Sick ones, elders, and learners alone are not the victims; those who are close to noise pollution are victims too.

To conclude at this point, I prefer the sound to entertain myself and my fellowmen. Of course, I deny too much noise if it would disturb others. To follow regulations for sound production is ideal and safer parts rather annoy your neighbors with the incidence of noise in the name of sound production. People enjoy the good fortune of producing sound but keep in mind the risk factor hidden within.
