Achievement of financial success has become one of the most important aspects of professional life which is often identified with hard work by some people. Although I disagree with this notion that hard work is the only way to achieve monetary success, I believe there are other factors too. I believe with the ideas of the people that hard work is not the only thing that contributes to a person’s achievements in monetary terms. While hard work is definitely needed in almost all jobs that a person performs, financial gains in this aspect is mainly associated with performance. In most white collared jobs where an employee works hard to ensure higher productivity increments and appraisals happen because they are able to work hard. However, the same, rather much harder work is done by people who have manual labour jobs but they are paid far less. This implies that it is not only hard work that has the contribution towards gaining financial achievements for a person. It is the combination of effective qualifications, experiences, skills and competencies that allows a person to reach a position of high financial achievements. A person may not achieve monetary achievements without having any professional qualification or high end skills. he/she may have to depend on hard work to develop skills and earn higher. However, an individual working within an organisation or a firm would definitely need to have a set of skills that made him/her suitable for the job role. It is based on its utilisation of those skills and competencies that allows the person to grow in the firm and experience higher financial success. On the other hand, it is also possible for some people to experience monetary achievements that have been bestowed upon them through generations. Having to keep up with that ancestral achievements monetarily requires knowledge and skills along with hard work. This would ensure that the financial achievements and inflow remains intact and increases further. Hence, financial achievements are dependent on various other factors along with hard work. They are also based on how well a person wants to work in order to achieve personal success.

People now-a-days are involved in different kinds of professional jobs and engaged in workplaces that help them earn money and pursue a lifestyle that they desire. While some people work quite hard to reach a position where they can afford luxury, some people achieve them with time and personal growth. However, it is believed by some people that achievement of monetary success is based on hard work of the people. I completely disagree with this notion and believe there are other factors too that contribute to financial success for a person other than hard work. I believe with the ideas of the people that hard work is not the only thing that contributes to a person’s achievements in monetary terms. Definitely, in order to excel in one’s job performance it is important to work hard and ensure that your hard work is being noticed, there are other aspects as well. Appraisals and increments are common within an organisation that motivates a person to work more efficiently and excel in terms of its performance. However, the same form of appraisals are hardly found in manual labour kind of jobs where the people work extremely hard. If only hard work could lead to financial achievements, then the people performing manual labour for the society would have been the richest people. Effectively, not only hard work, but even skills, experiences and qualifications of a person leads them to achieve monetary success.An individual working within an organisation or a firm definitely has some skill sets that made him/her suitable for the job role. It is based on its utilisation of those skills and competencies that makes a person acquire a higher job salary. Further development of skills and application of them in the job role further increases the financial success for the person. Hence, effective skills and competencies ensures that financial success could be achieved with determination and commitment to one’s desired job.

Achieving success in professional life has become important for all people ensuring that with professional success they are also able to secure financial achievements. While the need for increased money is important it is also important to have highly developed skills and inducement of hard work. However, some people believe that the achievement of monetary success is based only on the hard work of the people. It is true and acceptable that every job requires its own level of hard work to excel in the job role. But I completely disagree with this belief of it being the ultimate in gaining money. I certainly believe that in order to achieve monetary success a person also needs to be highly skilled and efficient. A person works hard to increase its performance efficiency and productivity that would help him/her achieve financial success. This may include appraisals and increments which are common within an organisation that motivates a person to work more efficiently for increasing productivity. However, the same form of appraisals are hardly found in manual labour jobs where not just the people work hard but even their working conditions are quite difficult. These people work with complete determination in order to earn the level of money which they consider to be financial achievement. This might only fulfil their basic need for food and shelter but their satisfaction remains. They might have desires to lead a luxurious life. Hence, ensuring their children are able to work in better places where they are known for their work and skills. Effectively, skills and competencies are equally important that allows a person to have financial success. Skills like leadership, teamwork, problem solving, creativity, etc are essential that increases productivity and workforce efficiency. Utilisation of their skills leads them to acquire better job roles and higher salary intake that adds to their financial achievements. Not just hard work, but effective skills and competencies ensures that financial success could be achieved with determination and commitment to one’s desired job. Thus, it is the combination of skills and experiences along with hard work which leads to having monetary success in life.
