Band 8 IELTS Essay

There is a lot of disagreement over whether one should define success in terms of riches. According to some, having money is the actual meaning of success. But sceptics argue that projects that can change society more significantly than personal fortune should take precedence. This essay will present all sides of the debate and present my perspective.

On the one hand, having a healthy net worth now is necessary to lead a fulfilling life. An older age that is secure is mostly ensured by a large or substantial bank balance. And someone with wealth can live comfortably after retiring. In India, for instance, having a large bank balance after retirement is seen as a sign of accomplishment due to the country's inadequate social security system. Money also helps one to afford extravagances. One can buy practically anything with large compensation. This impression, nevertheless, is not totally accurate.

On the other hand, there are several accomplishments, including inventions and social activities, that might characterise a person as a successful citizen. For instance, a project that can make millions of people's lives better is more important than having a stable financial situation. For instance, Albert Einstein was not wealthy but is regarded as the most brilliant scientist. Due to his innovations, which have greatly improved the lives of many people. Indeed, such accomplishments grant immortality. Furthermore, even professionals like teachers, social workers, and government workers may not make a lot of money. Their impact on the development of the country is far greater than that of a wealthy individual.

After examining both sides of the debate, it is easy to conclude that those who invest their time in bettering the lives of others are really more successful. However, those who have substantial personal riches.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

Some claim that the most successful persons in the modern world are those who make the greatest money. Others believe that social contributors like scientists and teachers experience the greatest success. To choose between the two viewpoints, a critical evaluation is required because they both represent significant portions of modern society.

The rich enjoy the power of money to a greater extent, which is the main justification for the former group's position. To be more specific, having a large amount of cash on hand allows one to purchase the majority of material goods and the greatest services. For instance, only the very wealthy today may consider space tourism, while it is still a lifetime fantasy for others. In contrast to the past, society's perspective on money has evolved as a result of their realisation that a lack of money would lead to various disasters. In fact, they began to think that a person's level of fulfilment and contentment is closely correlated with their level of wealth.

Others, however, believe that it is unlikely that money could ever replace the social value that professionals like scientists and teachers have. To be more specific, it should be noted that these individuals' contributions and services are regarded as priceless. This is so by society and is difficult to quantify in terms of money. For instance, instructors illuminate information and lay the groundwork for everyone's success in society. Similar to this, scientists contribute to society by developing discoveries that are either lifesaving. These can be like the creation of the vaccine, or cutting edge, like 5G technology. As a result, their level of achievement should be prioritised over that of the wealthy or well-off.

It is obvious after carefully examining both of these points of view that one should value the work of those who are able to earn large sums of money. However, I believe that those who make significant contributions to society need to be viewed as more successful.

Band 6.5 IELTS Essay

As success implies different things to different individuals, it is a relative term. Some believe that having a huge income makes one more successful. While others hold the view that those who work in fields like research and education are more successful. I'll talk about both viewpoints in this essay. The latter viewpoint is the one I support, though. One way that wealthy people can be judged to be successful is by the fact that they can afford to buy material goods. To put it another way, opulences like a large home, a fancy automobile, and pricey trips are some comparison indicators of how successful a person is.

Furthermore, the capacity to spend money on whatever without worrying about finance is something that society views as a sign of prosperity. The ability to reflect one's level of achievement through tangible possessions is thus made possible by financial prosperity. On the other hand, those who believe that persons like scientists and teachers should be seen as. They are having a higher chance of success providing the following justifications. First and foremost, careers that improve people's lives are rewarding. Not everyone desires to work for a living. Even though the income may not be very high, some people still desire to work to improve society.

For instance, it is well recognised that teaching is not just demanding but also poorly compensated. Despite this, a lot of people aspire to work as teachers. Because they are trying to mould the younger generations who will become the adults of tomorrow. Because of this responsibility, success has become associated with them

Second, several scientific advances have made it possible to save the lives of millions of people around the world. Doctors and scientists are in charge of coming up with innovative ways to save people's lives. The world would not have advanced toward modernization without their efforts. Many scientists put in endless hours to develop ideas, even though only a select number may be known to the general public. Their passion is what motivates and energises them.
