Band 6 IELTS Essay

Some people think that watching sporting events including the Olympics can motivate adults to exercise on a regular basis. While some people disagree and think there are other ways to exercise frequently, others do not. In my opinion, the best ways to promote exercise are to raise knowledge of it and make exercise facilities more accessible and available.

On the one hand, individuals think that watching sporting events on television, such as marathons and swimming, can encourage adults to exercise frequently. Because doing so has always been a simple method to develop a habit. In other words, it is a known fact that when people observe others performing a habit or a new task consistently, it encourages them to do the same. As a result of, for instance, regularly seeing athletes run or swimmers swim at the Olympics, Mr. Daniel now incorporates these sports into his free time. There is no doubt that by constantly seeing these actions, one might easily take up these habits and unwittingly begin to practise them.

Others, however, contend that there are more powerful approaches to encourage regular fitness activities. And I concur because raising knowledge of the advantages of exercise would help ensure that individuals exercise regularly. In other words, educating the public about the health benefits of exercise is a really effective method to inspire people. Making recreational facilities more accessible and available to people is another strategy to ensure that they exercise more frequently. Building sports facilities near residential areas and encouraging businesses to develop gyms that their employees can use during breaks can accomplish this. These actions will successfully motivate people to exercise frequently and maintain a healthy weight.

To sum up, people's perspectives may differ. I think that raising awareness of the advantages of regular exercise will help to motivate people to exercise.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

Recent trends show that more individuals are watching sporting events, especially major ones like the Olympics. While some think this approach will motivate more people to work out frequently. Others think there are better, more effective alternatives to getting people to exercise. To successfully incorporate this habit, I think it's vital to combine the two approaches.

On the one hand, watching sports can alter one's perspective on being active. The majority of individuals in today's society are reluctant to exercise. Because they believe that exercising is incredibly tedious and difficult. They have a total shift of mindset toward exercise, however, after witnessing others accomplish these activities with enthusiasm and ease.

However, there are other, more powerful ways to promote activity. One of these is the promise of enormous benefits to participants. People frequently participate in physically satisfying activities. A state government can encourage everyone in the municipality to exercise by giving out special awards for completing specific exercise routines. The development of training facilities that are simple to obtain is a further very successful tactic. People will be more inspired to work out if they are aware that they do not need to go far to get a quality gym.

However, I feel that in order for individuals to exercise, they should both observe others do it and have access to the best training facilities available. This is primarily due to the fact that watching these games on TV will force them to continue the act indefinitely. Even though these other approaches will assist them to develop the habit.

To sum up, one way to inspire others to start exercising is to see them participate in sports. Making exercise facilities easily available and incentivizing participants are further approaches. However, I think it's essential to use both approaches in tandem to keep a positive workout culture.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

The debate over how to encourage fitness has heated up recently. While others disagree, some people think that staying home and watching the big game is the best option. I believe both points of view are valid, but I lean more toward the second.

First off, when it comes to major events, participation is evident but persistence could be a little more difficult to commend. For instance, sporting events like the Olympics can get people interested in sports indirectly. It can motivate them to work out on their own. The majority of sports, like running and swimming, are demanding. Therefore it could be difficult for adults, particularly those who didn't work much in the past, to develop a habit of doing it frequently. Even when they are drawn to the major events, it may be difficult for them to persist.

Second, there are more appealing ways today to encourage individuals to exercise. Most individuals may need to work for a considerable amount of time. Thus they may favour some leisure activities after work. The majority of sports, like running and swimming, are demanding. Therefore it could be difficult for adults, particularly those who didn't work much in the past, to develop a habit of doing it frequently. Even when they are drawn to the major events, it may be difficult for them to persist. Engaging in sports while playing video games, however, might be more appealing. As a result, they may unconsciously plan to exercise every day, which can help them exercise more frequently and effectively.

In conclusion, witnessing major events may simply pique people's interest in sports; it cannot guarantee that they would consistently exercise. I contend that viewing major events might not be the ideal approach to motivate individuals to consistently exercise. We might try to come up with alternative ideas for promoting sports that are more conducive to adult relaxation.
