Although it might be a significant step toward increasing the amount of recycled waste, in my opinion, people need to be more conscious of their surroundings. First off, why is public awareness more significant than governmental control? The first and most obvious one is that most people do not know how to properly recycle their home waste, so they are unable to recycle it.

For instance, it is feasible to create a biofuel that can be used for cooking from organic waste. According to an ILO survey from 2015, 25% of Bangladeshi households utilize bio-plants to generate biogas on average. Therefore, raising awareness can significantly increase the amount of waste that is recycled. Government regulations requiring the recycling of waste can also act as a catalyst for this development. People would be more inclined to recycle the waste from their homes if the government made recycling mandatory and required by law. For instance, Romania, a nation in Europe, uses 90% of the garbage generated by residential structures after making recycling mandatory for all homes. Therefore, it follows that putting into effect a legal requirement will have an impact. The public's awareness would ultimately play the most crucial role. Despite the fact that the government may be able to exert significant influence over the population. However, governments should prioritize improving the general public's view of garbage recycling.

Recycling waste is a crucial part of keeping the earth resource-rich and clean, thus it should be our first responsibility, starting at home. For instance, a US study indicates that people begin to abide by the laws when they are enforced with fines and penalties rather than just their obligations. Despite the fact that the ministry punishes the populace with fines, they should also focus on raising awareness. So that people understand how recycled waste might help them in the future. Additionally, because residents in rural areas do not frequently access services, the government must offer the necessary services to collect waste. For instance, in India, villagers are unaware of this procedure and how it could benefit them all. And they undoubtedly do not receive any assistance from the ministry. However, the ministry can make things better by enacting new laws that will compel societies. As a result, the authority or local council can also assist the populace with their immediate efforts. People would start recycling their waste if they are aware that it is an essential activity, which will help us conserve the environment.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

Recycling is now thought of as the first step toward a greener environment. Some argue that regulation is the only way to force people to recycle because they do not recycle enough of the rubbish from their homes. This argument has some merit, but I can only agree to a certain extent because there should be more action taken than simply passing a recycling rule. One option to address the trash problem is through a new recycling requirement. Because recycling is required by law, people who are opposed to the idea will have to implement it in their houses.

Anyone who violates this legislation should face penalties, such as paying fines, performing community service, or possibly going to jail for repeat offenders. Citizens would live in a clean environment as a result of these measures acting as an obligation and inducement to follow the recycling procedure. In other words, the legislation would make recycling required and help individuals overcome their lethargy to implement it in their houses. On the other hand, governments ought to take additional action beyond merely passing laws. Instead of penalizing people, they ought to try to educate them. Governments should start awareness efforts to emphasize the dangers of accumulating pollution and to demonstrate the value of recycling. These teaching programs ought to be imposed on media screens and at establishments. For instance, it is important to teach recycling to students and to encourage them to do so both at school and at home. Offering recycling bins in official buildings and on public streets is another tactic that authorities ought to use. This will encourage people to view recycling as a habit rather than a duty. Therefore, in order to enjoy a healthy environment, the government should encourage people to recycle and make it a habit. In conclusion, I believe that governments should not only make recycling a legal necessity. But also promotes responsible trash management and a green lifestyle among citizens. Countries will be free of waste and spend less money on medical issues. If governments allocate cash to educate the people about recycling as a solution to the pollution problem.
