Some People Believe That Women Should Play An Equal Role As Men In A Country‘s Police Force IELTS Writing Task 2

The reason behind the thinking that women are incapable to work in the defense sector is their physical strength. People think that women can’t be compared with men in terms of their physical strength and they are incapable of performing the hard and physical tasks. They also believe that female fighters are not mentally strong to handle the harsh situations such as dealing with drug dealers, criminals, smugglers, prisoners, and can’t face the situation at the major accident sites. As a result, only men should get the chance to work in the defense sector because they are physically, mentally, and emotionally strong.

According to me, this belief is totally untrue. Both the genders have the equal rights to decide whether they want to work as army or police officers or not. People don’t have rights to make the decisions of the candidate’s professional life; the decision should be made by the candidates individually. The main reason why I believe that female candidates should get the equal opportunity to work in defense services is that they are better critical thinkers. They have undoubtedly proven their capability to safeguard the nation during World War II.

Moreover, women should get a chance to work in the crime and investigation department. There are some cases where the male officers were prohibited to touch the females for the investigation purpose. So in such cases, it would be better to employ the female officers who will help the department to solve the case and reduce the crime rate.

I can conclude this by saying that there are some people who still disagree with this fact that women should get equal chances to enter the defense department, but I completely disagree with their points. The decision to choose the department should not be gender biased; it should be the decision of the individual candidates to set their career and they should get the opportunity to serve the nation as a police or army officer if they wish to do so.

The belief that women are a weaker section as compared to men existed in the time of our ancestors. This still continued to exist in some parts of the world due to lack of awareness, education, and knowledge. Still there are a lot of people who have changed their mindset with the development of technology, spreading awareness and advancement in the educational system. The army, military and police is the most respectful sector in our country because it puts women rights above all other factors and considerations.

Another perk in this sector is that women tend to have extremely high levels of patience and endurance as a result police officers appreciate this trait. It is said that women have less physical stamina as compared to men but I disagree with this point because the physical stamina can be increased once they get entry in the army or police job sector. It is true to say that every female fighter will serve an example for other women. With every passing day, the status of women in military services is growing and reaching new heights.

In simpler terms, I can say that defense services is the most reliable and trustworthy sector for women. They are physically fit to enter this job sector, and they will receive respect, honor, safety, and the ability to demonstrate patience by serving in these departments.

There are many opportunities in the police job sector that can be given to the female candidates. In some cases, male officers are prohibited to handle the case of the female convicts, so female police officers can play a crucial role in the police force. Similarly in the military job sector, female doctors or nurses are the most appropriate to provide the superior treatment and care to the wounded troops. Moreover, all the candidates should get the fair chance to choose the right option for their professional life without any restrictions, irrespective of their gender. There are a lot of female candidates who wish to join the defense services; in fact some of them have the required skills and credentials. Therefore, they should not any discrimination while applying in these services.

In a nutshell, despite some people claiming that female candidates can’t handle the physical and tough tasks in defense services, I still believe that all the candidates should get a fair chance to set up their career in any field they wish to. It is not tough for the female candidates to complete the physically demanding tasks; they just need a chance and training to settle down in this field.
