Band 6.5 IELTS Essay

Even though many athletes succeed due to their inherent talent, many people who were born with handicaps also achieve success. Personally, I believe that hard work and numerous practices make up the majority of achievements in any discipline, not just athletics. Talent only accounts for 20% of our accomplishments.

The agreement that innate talent is the key to success in sports is untrue, in my opinion. Because so many people have shown the world that hard effort and practice can also lead to success, I believe it is possible. For instance, Nick Vuijeick, who was born without hands or legs, is capable of performing every task by himself. Prior to deciding to give his life another opportunity, he had felt hopeless about himself. He began practising various skills, such as eating with his thighs and putting on his shirt from the top. This demonstrates that persons with impairments can achieve success even if they lack inherent talent. Another explanation for this is that most people who believe they possess talent without having put it to use are generally sluggish and inattentive. In other words, they believe they can be even more successful without any additional necessities. In contrast, many athletes find that they are more successful when they give it their all and push themselves to the limit. Damian Lillard, an NBA player, might serve as an example. He never imagined being this successful purely as a basketball player. His tireless efforts and numerous rehearsals each night are what have helped him become so well-known and skilled. Even though he went through a painful experience back then. Furthermore, none of the family members are basketball players. This means that while having inherent talent can help you succeed, putting in extra work can help you succeed even more.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

Adult participation in games and physical activities has decreased over time. It is frequently suggested that the solution to overcoming this issue is to broadcast major sporting events like the Olympics on television shows. But others believe that it would be more beneficial to use other strategies. In this essay, I'll go over both points of view and make the case that encouraging adults to participate in recreational activities is a good thing. I'll then provide a rationale for my conclusion.

In the modern world, sports and commercials are pervasive, and television is an excellent medium for encouraging people to engage in physical activities. People are too preoccupied with their jobs to find the time to exercise, even though it's vital to living a healthy life. According to a recent Times Magazine survey, only 33% of people worldwide were engaged in leisure activities. Having more outdoor activities is the key to resolving the concerns that an abundance of overweight people pose for the healthcare systems. Therefore, if the government broadcasts major events like the Olympics on radio and television, citizens will be inspired. They will try to include exercise in their daily life in order to maintain their fitness. Despite this, there are a number of additional effective techniques to motivate individuals to exercise in order to maintain their fitness. Some large multinational corporations sponsor sporting events and offer a dedicated gym for staff use on the job. For instance, many IT organisations, like Infosys, provide an exercise space. Where employees may unwind and take advantage of the complimentary gym facilities during their free time. People should conduct themselves responsibly and engage in physical activity more often than other hobbies. In order to live a healthier life, it is crucial to maintain a balance between physical and mental development. It is advised that the State promotes residents' continued excellent health and well-being.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Many people think that a sports person's success comes down to natural talent. But some people think that working hard and engaging in frequent sport-related activities help an athlete reach their goals. In my opinion, if a sportsperson wants to succeed in the world of sports, he or she needs to possess natural skill, grit, and real-world experience. Because only one of these attributes will not allow them to succeed.

The primary cause is when a sportsperson merely has natural skill and does not put in adequate practice time. If that happens, he won't be able to compete for the top spot in sports. Sachin Tendulkar, an Indian all-around cricket player, is an example of someone with natural talent. Despite this, he has played cricket since he was a young child. He received this award frequently, including during the World Cup. Additionally, a playful boy's natural aptitude for sports encourages him to be more supportive, agile, and sharp. Such qualities can invariably assist him succeed in competitions like the Olympic Games, World Cup match, and other events. As a result, in addition to having the innate ability to play sports, one must also be physically active and work hard while showing passion. Contrarily, it is false for individuals who think that the only way to succeed in sports is to put in a lot of effort in the chosen sport. This is due to the possibility of any athlete losing energy and metal support after engaging in an absurd number of charitable activities. For instance, even though he has moderate success in all he does, Indian cricketer Virat Kohli lacks a natural understanding of the game. He did not, however, take home the World Cup, one of the most coveted awards among athletes. The cause is his lack of innate talent, which neither provides him confidence nor mental drive. To conclude in the realm of sports, instinctive ability is helpful in achieving the goal. Some claim that developing a talent for a sport via perseverance and practice can aid in becoming a successful sportsperson. My opinion is that a person needs inherent skill, a lot of exercise, and hard effort if they want to become sports stars.
