Topic: Some people believe that there will be a reduction in air travel in the future. Do you think that this trend is a positive or negative development?

Band 6 IELTS Essay

Air travel has grown rapidly since the beginning of the twenty-first century. However, some people believe that air travel will be reduced in the coming years. As a result, international tourism and global business will suffer. As a result, I am convinced that it has a negative impact on society. The reasons for my aversion are explained in the following paragraphs.

To begin with, a decrease in the number of planes means a decrease in international tourism, which is a growing industry today. Many countries that rely entirely on tourism may suffer as a result. It can have a significant impact on the national economy by reducing employment opportunities for locals. For example, islands are the most appealing destinations for tourists from all over the world. Islands are among the most appealing destinations for tourists from all over the world. Thus visiting such places would be nearly impossible without the frequent use of airplanes. Furthermore, the reduction in air travel will discourage people from traveling around the world. Therefore, people will become narrow-minded in believing and following global trends, which can widen the gap between countries and, at times, lead to war. Furthermore, many nations are currently reliant on goods imported by air from other countries. As a result, a decrease in air travel may also result in a decrease in importing and exporting facilities. To summarize, as the world becomes a global platform for everything, a reduction in air travel will undoubtedly have a negative impact on people. So, in my opinion, air travel will never be reduced in the future. Moreover, air traveling as compared with road traveling is less hectic. Due to the development of alternate modes of transportation, a reduction in air travel will not affect the airline industry or the country's economy.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

Everyone nowadays is preoccupied with their jobs. They want to arrive and complete their task on time. And in today's world, flight plays a vital role. However, some people believe that in the future, air transportation will be obsolete. Personally, I believe that trend is a bad thing for all of us. People's travel habits have recently changed dramatically.

There are numerous reasons for this shift, and some economists believe that it will reduce the number of people who travel by plane. This trend will be discussed within the following sections as well as its positive and negative aspects. Some people preferred to travel by plane or train two decades ago. This was due to unfinished roads connecting cities, which made road travel a nightmare for travelers.Urban development commissions have now ensured that all cities' highways are constructed, making travel enjoyable and reducing road accidents. Today's younger generation, who are travel enthusiasts, prefer to travel by road, because they can enjoy the scenic beauty that airplanes cannot. Furthermore, countries have introduced bullet trains as a result of technological advancement. When compared to passenger trains, these trains cut travel time by half. These trains reduce travel time by 50% when compared to passenger trains and are also less expensive when compared to airplanes. To illustrate, in India, the Gareeb Rath bullet train connects Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad is well-known for its fabric manufacturing, and cloth traders from Mumbai frequently visit the city for business. Statistics show that the introduction of bullet train, there has been a significant drop in airplane bookings as most traders have opted for the bullet train. Therefore, based on the above reasons, it can be argued that a reduction in air travel will adversely affect the airline industry. However, as alternative modes of transportation have developed to meet the needs of classes of people, this will not adversely affect the travel industry.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

The environmental impact of air travel has been the subject of ongoing debate in recent years, as more people regard it as a convenient mode of transportation. Air travel should be restricted, in my opinion. The first undeniable factor is that aircraft contribute significantly to air pollution. Planes, whether idling or taxiing, contribute a significant portion of local emissions each year.

Some argue that air travel is one of the best modes of transportation for long-distance travel. This notion, however, is flawed. Trains, for example, can be an excellent alternative because they use less energy and produce less pollution. As a result, it is strongly advised that the government imposes restrictions on intra-country travel. Another reason why people anticipate a reduction in air travel in the near future is the increase in air ticket prices over the years as fuel prices have risen. Crude prices have risen in recent years, and in order to keep up with the economy, airlines have had to adjust their ticket prices, affecting their business. Aside from air pollution, aircraft can produce noise pollution. It is impossible to precisely quantify the impact of noise on people's daily lives; it leads to increased anxiety and disturbance levels has been demonstrated. Noise pollution caused by aircraft is a major source of concern for residents living near airports and flight paths. However, air travel is the only way to travel across countries quickly. As a result, it should be run in such a way that its strengths are maximized. People, for example, can reduce the negative impact of flying by replacing old engines with cleaner ones. Given the facts discussed above, significant consideration should be given to aircraft pollution. Air travel should be used only when no other modes of transportation are available.
