Band 6 IELTS Essay

Each and every person has the right to an education because it is the foundation of their existence. Learning from a book is only one aspect of education; it also involves putting what you've learned into practise and fostering your overall physical and mental growth.

People became aware that there are a total of 3 modes of education—online, offline, and hybrid—with the advent of COVID-19. One of the best methods for home education is online learning. Many individuals hold the opinion that homeschooling is the best method, and to some extent, they are right. Any type of schooling from home, whether it be online or otherwise, is advantageous since it offers remote education.

A physical visit to an institution is not required for the student to attend classes there. In addition, students are free to ask questions without feeling pressured by their peers. Additionally, students continue to be supervised by their parents the majority of the time. Another option for studying at home, besides online courses, is distance learning. In this approach, the candidate chooses to study independently at home before showing up for tests at regular intervals. As a result, the person is able to further his or her education, follow a passion, or work independently.

Thus, homeschooling has a number of advantages. A student who studies at home must, however, be extremely responsible and committed to his or her education because there won't be a teacher available to provide the necessary direction and to set daily goals.

Therefore, the previously mentioned educational methods are effective for students of various ages, including those who are fairly mature and those who are younger (age = 17) and can learn online. In addition, parents should never consider teaching their kids on their own at home instead of enrolling them in a school. Due to the requirement of affiliation with an accredited institution, this type of education might turn out to be useless.

Educating a child at home is a good way of teaching students who face some problems at school/college every day. This difficulty may be due to some disease, motion sickness, lack of means of transportation, etc. and such difficulties were being faced by both eth students and teachers in the COVID era. On the other hand, offline education or school education works on different principles and offers a different approach. Schooling allows a teacher to not only provide theoretical knowledge to his/her students but also compensate for practical knowledge. This helps in the overall development of a child. Additionally, schooling also improves time management skills, interpersonal skills, convincing ability, motor skills, and creativity. It also makes a child independent.

In school education, teachers are able to provide personal attention to students due to which they can make tough concepts easy to understand as well as find out hidden talents among students. When students go to school they not only read or learn but also interact with other students and teachers which improves their communication skills. Furthermore, due to interaction with children hailing from different communities they get to know about different cultures and their customs. Hence, at school children learn to respect other religions, communities, ethnicities, and live together with a sense of brotherhood. A school teaches students to think differently and have several approaches to solving the same problem. Moreover, playing with friends is an integral part of school life that helps students in staying fit and healthy.

One of the most important parts of school life is that it teaches discipline. School requires students to be present at the school everyday at a certain time, e.g., 8 a.m. This aspect is not present in home education as in that case children take advantage of studying at any time. Time boundation remains a part of life even after growing up and it is only taught by schooling. Therefore, it can be concluded that school education provides a better approach to learning and helps in the overall development of a child.

Education is a pillar in the life of an individual and learning continues the whole life. School education is a traditional method of learning and teaching but in modern times a new methodology has been introduced - home education. Home education refers to that method of learning in which the student stays at home for learning purposes. It includes the online modes of education and distance education.

Online mode allows the teacher to explain the concept more thoroughly using several apps for illustration. Moreover, it can be accessed from anywhere. Hence, it is an easy but innovative and efficient way of teaching. Remote education provides enough time for an individual to focus on extracurricular activities such as singing, dancing, playing sports, sketching, personality development, etc

However, education from home lacks several benefits of school education such as confidence, proper guidance, personal attention, and so on. A student studying from home may also lack motivation. Schooling provides a lot of benefits as a student who visits an institution stays motivated, focused, and enthusiastic. There are several school activities such as school drama, annual functions, and many more that promote team management skills, creativity, and innovation among students. Several candidates collaborate, decorate, and celebrate together. Furthermore, schools and colleges provide a lot of opportunities for students as they are visited by several high authority personnel and other institutions. Many surveys are conducted as well as quizzes and tournaments are organized by the institutions at regular time intervals. In situations like the COVID-1, the educational system changed its methodology and evolved with the technology.

Thus, from the above facts it can be concluded that offline education or schooling contains much room for opportunities and development of a child whereas due to the accessibility of study from home, it becomes a highly efficient, easy to understand, innovative, and flexible mode of teaching as well as learning. There should be a healthy balance between these two modes of education, whenever needed.
