In today’s world, very young people with unique talents can easily get the spotlight through various social media platforms. Social media today has enormous power to make people famous overnight. But to be famous at a very young age can have several advantages and disadvantages which need to be carefully considered. In this essay, we will explore the pros as well as cons of people who become famous at a very young age and how it impacts their lives.

People who become famous at a young age become more independent than their peers of the same age group. As with fame comes monetary benefit which makes them financially stable. Financial stability makes them self-sufficient at a very young age and they are also able to help out their parents and other family members financially. Every individual likes to be appreciated and praised for the work they do. When very young people become famous, they get appreciated by a huge segment of the population, which boosts their confidence and self-esteem.

But there are many disadvantages of getting famous at a very young age. Since young individuals are not mentally mature, they do not know how to handle fame and how to conduct themselves in public. This leads to many young celebrities getting lonely and depressed, withdrawn from public life. Since they get famous at an early age, they think education is not needed and many young celebrities drop out of school and do not learn the important life skills required to survive in the real world. They do not have the understanding that life is unpredictable and fame is volatile. Fame gets to their head and they behave recklessly and are devoid of humility.

We can see that being famous at a young age has many advantages in terms of independent decision making but it can simultaneously be treated as a disadvantage as well if not monitored and if the young child isn’t inculcated with the important life values.

Today more than ever we come across very young people who have become famous in a short period. Every person at some point in their lives wants to be in the spotlight and to have that fame and public image at a very young age can mold an individual’s personality accordingly. There are both positive and negative impacts on their lives since they are very young and some even do not know how to conduct themselves in the public arena. In this essay, we will explore both sides.

To become famous at a very young age can be a huge achievement. Receiving love and admiration of the masses and making the person grow up in a loving environment. With all the fame and praises, come monetary incentives as well. Such young people can make their own financial decisions and colleges. Many who come from very humble backgrounds can dream of going to an international university and receive a world-class education with the money they earn. It enables them to follow their passion with financial constraints and also help their family out in times of need. These advantages of young celebrities cannot be overlooked at all.

But with fame also comes the need to always be in the public light. Very young people do not know how to conduct in public or what is the most appreciated thing to say. This can cause controversy in their lives and make their lives difficult. The major disadvantage is the lack of privacy. Since they become public figures at a young age, they lose out on their innocent years where they can be carefree like other children. But they’re forced to grow up and behave maturely. This sometimes leads to withdrawal symptoms among young famous people as they shut themselves up completely which can adversely affect their mental and physical health.

In a nutshell, fame for very young people can be complicated and confusing. Though there are many advantages of becoming famous at a young age, which everyone would imagine to like- there are also certain disadvantages which shouldn’t be taken lightly, as it can seriously impact their lives.

These young celebrities can have a very distorted sense of the real world and hence having them as role models can also lead to unrealistic behavior and expectations. Many times, these young celebrities do not realize how essential certain life values are and refuse to get out of their bubble where everyone loves them, this leads to them becoming irresponsible adults. Fame at a very young age can confuse celebrities between what is real and reel, which leads to distorted expectations from life and people. All this compels them to feel out of place and leads to anxiety in public places.
