Band 6 IELTS Essay

In the modern era, retiring while people are becoming older is said to be the most unforgettable of happiness. Retirement doesn't seem to be the most enjoyable time of life, in my opinion. And I'll provide evidence for it in the following arguments.

On the one hand, people's current unhappiness is the cause. The first defense is that retirement reflects the phenomena of aging. People might get restless and discontent by their aging. Many negative thoughts come to mind due to the same. It is unfortunate that people will experience the majority of health issues that can interfere with their desires. Consider the fact that the average age at which people leave their jobs is over 50. This age group typically experiences bone problems, making movement challenging. Poor health also prevents exploration such as mountain climbing. They will also invest a certain amount of time and money in the treatment of certain illnesses. The solitude and loneliness that come with retirement will be a second drawback. Therefore, having their family and friends around is essential to a retiree's happiness. Unfortunately, it appears that young people generally have a variety of responsibilities. Including working, learning, or carrying out their objectives. This is because many young individuals don't have a lot of time for the elderly person who is retiring.

On the other hand, there are undeniably numerous advantages to retiring early. The optimum time to retire and spend a lot of time alone is during that time. They don't have to abide by many rules in the company, to be more precise. The retiree conducts their favorite activity in comfort. They may, for instance, style their home according to their personal preferences. They use the clean air each day to tend to the wonderful garden.

In conclusion, health issues-both financial and isolated-are a major worry throughout retirement. The challenge or difficulty that retirees will face today is significant.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Nowadays, it's frequently asserted that retirees will experience their highest levels of happiness. Given the significant problems they will encounter, it would seem that retirement is not actually the happiest time in life. While for others it might look like a moment of happiness but for the experiencer it might be a sad or distressing moment.

First of all, it's widely believed that retirees may suffer with the bulk of health issues given their advanced age. Even if they exercise everyday to stay in shape and eat only nutritious meals and vitamins, their wellbeing will unavoidably deteriorate. Additionally, this disease may limit their movement and capacity for social interaction. Rendering them unable to leave their isolation and more likely to experience mental health problems like depression. For instance, retirees frequently experience dementia and have dramatically reduced mobility compared to their pre-retirement lifestyles. As a result, it is nearly commonly acknowledged that senior citizens may experience several challenges with their mental and physical health. The common reason for mental instability is the withdrawal of an environment.

Second, after withdrawal, pensioners can find themselves in a precarious financial situation. In other words, if people don't adequately plan for their financial security. They won't be able to live a respectable lifestyle and it may even affect their loved ones. Furthermore, given that healthcare for the elderly is expensive and still scarce, they may want to spend enough money and effort treating various conditions. For instance, due to insufficient pension savings, the majority of retired military personnel must obtain additional money through withdrawal work. Or passive income to maintain their families. As a result, a retirement plan frequently affects not only the economics of their pension but also the finances of their families.

In conclusion, it makes sense to say that retirement is not the most enjoyable time of life. Because it may bring along health problems and financial difficulties.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

A significant majority of older adults anticipate retirement, believing it will be the best time of their lives. For many of them, reality is, however, quite different. In this essay, the causes and remedies to this issue will be covered.

There are numerous contributing variables to this issue. The pension that retirees get is generally accepted to be less than their prior earnings. Nonetheless, as living expenses grow, people's quality of life declines after retirement. In addition, many retirees are afflicted by various mental illnesses. This is primarily because their children are working full-time jobs and are unable to spend enough time with their parents, leaving them feeling lonely. In this situation they start feeling useless and helpless. They consider themselves as idle and not capable of work anymore. This situation affects their mental health very adversely. They might get distress due to their aging. Retirement might be considered to be a sign of aging. So their body starts aching due to the stress they take. There are various health issues noticed in retired people. They might want to do something else but they don't consider themselves as active and energetic as they used to. In contrast, they spoke with their coworkers frequently when they were at work.

To overcome this issue, local communities and governmental entities must work together. The amount of pension that retirees can receive must be increased by the government. This will guarantee that they have enough money to pay for both basic needs and somewhat more expensive pastimes, such as a vacation or a musical performance. Additionally, local communities want to plan a variety of gatherings for retired people to socialize. This will provide them the chance to meet and become friends with other retirees, ultimately ending their loneliness.

As a result of their meager pensions and loneliness, retirees' declining satisfaction levels can be explained. The government can contribute to the solution by introducing specific retirement-related social programs.
