Topic: Some high schools require all students to wear school uniforms. Other high schools permit students to decide what to wear to school. Which of these two school policies do you think is better?

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

The majority of kids wear school uniforms in several nations. Few schools, though, allow pupils to wear casual attire. I think that wearing a uniform is preferable to wearing casual clothing. Despite the fact that this background inevitably sparks debate among opposing viewpoints on the matter. This is because, to start, children who wear uniforms may focus on their studies. Furthermore, wearing uniforms permits their families to cut down on costs.

To start, pupils who wear school uniforms are better able to concentrate on their studies. Than those who dress casually since they spend less time getting dressed. For instance, it has been stated in the media that students who wear uniforms perform better than those who wear casual clothing. Students who are wearing the uniforms can concentrate on their own academic work as a result.

Uniform use may lessen bullying at school. School bullying has long been a topic of discussion, and among the numerous things that may set off a tragedy of bullying is the dress. While other kids are coveted by their peers just because of their eye-catching apparel, some pupils are mocked at for their cheap-looking clothing.

Additionally, although students who dress casually have many advantages. Such as elegance and style, it costs their parents a lot of money to purchase new clothing. For example, when I was younger, I had to wear casual clothing to school because there were no uniforms. My parents were aware of how sensitive young people are to fashion. They therefore purchased me a selection of brand-new outfits. However, I observed that they were burdened by the cost of the money needed to purchase new clothing. As a result, parents do not have to purchase new clothing because children wear school uniforms, which might help them spend less money.

In summary, even wearing casual clothing offers a number of benefits. I believe that using school uniforms is preferable. Because it allows students to concentrate on their studies while also saving money.

It is true that while some secondary schools mandate uniforms, others let pupils dress however they like. Both methods have advantages, but I personally believe that uniforms are preferable for high school kids.

To start, it's usual for certain high schools to allow pupils to attend without wearing uniforms. They contend that schools should put greater emphasis on the quality of the curriculum. And the teaching and learning process rather than on uniforms as the primary priority in education. Additionally, they think that paying for school uniforms is a waste of money since the money could be used for other essentials like books or stationery.

A good way to teach teenagers the value of discipline is by requiring them to wear uniforms. As they start high school, kids are reaching a developmental stage. Where they should be able to recognize how crucial it is to live by society's laws. Obeying is the necessary skill if a pupil wishes to be able to handle the problems they will face in their future employment. As opposed to showcasing their individual personalities. As a result, observing the high dress code at school is an excellent place to start.

However, many secondary educational institutions require their pupils to wear school uniforms for a variety of reasons. These organizations hold the view that pupils will acquire discipline and decent dress by donning school uniforms. Allowing pupils to wear whatever they choose may put them at risk of dressing inappropriately while in class. Then, with school uniforms in place, it won't be possible to tell which children are from what socioeconomic class. While some students may come from wealthy families. They must dress in the same high-quality manner as other pupils who hail from other socioeconomic backgrounds.

In summary, it is true that many secondary educational institutions now require students to wear school uniforms. But there are those that allow students to choose their own attire. Although each perspective has pros and cons. In my opinion, wearing a school uniform in high school is preferable to donning casual attire.

Band 8.5 IELTS Essay

The question of whether or not all pupils must wear a school uniform, in my opinion, is one that is up for discussion. Some individuals think that every student must maintain the required attire. Others believe that students should choose their own or their parents' school clothes. I personally think that students should dress whichever they want. I disagree that high school students should be obliged to wear school uniforms for a number of reasons, which I will list below.

First off, pupils do not need to wear school uniforms and are free to dress however they like. Personally, I prefer to dress in comfy clothing. Furthermore, I am a female who prefers to dress in jeans and shorts. Despite the fact that girls are obligated to wear skirts to school, as far as I am aware. I believe that many female students will concur that jeans are much cozier than skirts. Uniforms can occasionally be uncomfortable to wear. Uniforms shouldn't, in my opinion, be a major component of education. As a result, uniforms are only used to identify students and are unable to assess learning effectiveness. The government nevertheless spends more money on uniforms, but it is somewhat wasteful. Students would have a fantastic opportunity if that money was used for school improvement.

Second, I think that wearing school uniforms shouldn't be uncomfortable. For instance, some overseas students may think it inappropriate to wear certain components of the uniform. Being a Russian citizen, I was compelled to wear the primary school uniform, which consisted of a royal blue skirt and a white or light blue top. The fact that every kid was dressed in the same color bothered me, therefore I did not particularly enjoy it. We all wore the same clothing and were free to accessorize. I found it inconvenient that girls had to wear short skirts all the time, especially when it was cold outside.

Simply said, I believe that children should wear anything they choose to school. Otherwise, I believe that uniforms should be appropriate for all kids if a junior high compels them to wear them.
