Some exercises are good, but not all IELTS Writing Task 2 consists of three sample answers provided below. The introduction is a brief description of the topic. The body contains argumentative statements and tentative answers to support the test-taker's perspective.

While exercise is a vital part of our lives, recent research and findings have come up with counter arguments that may prove the opposite to also be true in some aspects.

In recent times, there is a growing opinion that too much exercise can do more harm than good for our bodies. Doctors have come up with the findings that over-exercising can risk overtraining syndrome and other problems such as osteoporosis and prolonged fatigue. For example, running is very good for our health, but there is always the risk of damage in the joints and increased need for knee or hip replacements, especially on those who do not partake in regular running, but decide to overdo it at once.

Ligament and tendon injuries, muscle strain are quite commonly seen as a result of overtraining and overexertion. When the body is not given the proper amount of time to relax and recover, it is more prone to injuries. To add to that, our heart has to work harder to pump blood into our brains, which may cause heart diseases and even more serious problems. Excessive exercise patterns can cause disturbances in our sleep schedules as well as poor eating habits. Since most people aren’t getting regular exercise, the chances of being impacted by these factors are very likely.

They constantly keep measuring and weighing themselves and keep track of how much they’ve lost or gained and work harder to get to their desired body type. People with exercise bulimia often do not believe they are over-exercising and often become angry and defensive if someone suggests that.

There is no denying that over-exercising can cause negative effects on your body.
