Band 8 IELTS Essay

The question is whether individuals are solely responsible for their own happiness. External factors play an important role and have caused fierce debates. This essay will throw some light on both perspectives. In my opinion, even if psychology and personal choice contribute to happiness to a large extent, the influence of external circumstances cannot is ignored.

On the one hand, proponents of the view hold that individuals are solely responsible their happiness and can be happy if they want to emphasize the power of positivity reflection and self-determination. They assume that a person's mental state and attitude towards life can shape their experiences and emotions. By adopting an optimistic perspective and by cultivating inner satisfaction, individuals can actually improve their sense of well-being.

For example, many self-help books and motivational speakers promote the idea that individuals can control their thoughts and reactions to external events, thereby forming their emotional well-being.

On the other hand, according to many others, it would be unrealistic to ignore the impact of external factors affecting happiness. Socio-economic conditions, health, relationships, and life events significantly shape an individual's emotional state. People who are having financial difficulties, health problems or personal losses can make maintaining a constant level of happiness difficult, regardless of their state of mind. For example, someone being unemployed or facing a serious illness can be difficult. They are only able to find happiness through their personal perspective.

In short, the relationship between personal responsibility and internal external factors Achieving happiness is complicated. Although psychology and personal choice certainly play a role, important role, the importance of external circumstances cannot be underestimated. To support a positive mindset and realizing the influence of external reality is essential for one comprehensive understanding of human happiness.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Nowadays, some people are so stressed by their daily work that they cannot feel satisfied. While some people believe that happiness depends on the person, others believe that certain life factors play an important role in it. In my opinion, everyone should have a positive outlook and be able to feel happy.

Some people believe that external and internal factors greatly influence the feeling of happiness. People are probably more satisfied when they have better living conditions. Indeed, wealth, good relationships with parents and loved ones, professional status and good health are significant aspects of life for most people to feel happy.

However, although all the factors mentioned above can increase the feeling of happiness, pessimists may not consider themselves happy despite having very good facilities. Feeling dissatisfied with things can harm a person's emotional state. These factors cannot make people happier if they are depressed and emotionally unhealthy.

In my opinion, to be happy, people should be more optimistic and appreciate everything around them. Happiness does not depend on many factors. Unless people are happy with themselves, they may not realize how happy they really are. I firmly believe that happiness will never come to those who do not appreciate the blessings they have.

In summary, although certain factors such as wealth, health or good relationships can influence happiness levels, people can create happy lives by being grateful for what they have.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

Happiness means different things to different people. While some people believe that internal factors determine happiness, I believe that external aspects are more important in experiencing a sense of happiness.

On the one hand, it is essential that we take responsibility for moving forward in our quest for happiness. There are many activities from buying a car, buying a house to successfully passing college and marrying true love that people often feel satisfied and happy with. For example, by limiting and restricting personal desires, one can achieve happiness and feel inner satisfaction. A striking example is the case of monks. As long as they follow their religious beliefs while abstaining from all material indulgences, they seem to enjoy a sense of fulfillment.

On the other hand, since some factors are beyond a person's control, they play a key role in deciding whether the eyes shine happily or not. In most societies, government can have a significant influence on the prosperity and happiness of its people. For example, with crime rates so high in some parts of the world, people may not feel happy because such crime rates make them panic 24 hours a day. Without the government's role in fighting crime, people will not achieve absolute happiness. Another area of concern in which the role of States is even more important is health. Without government support and intervention in the fight against a virus like COVID-19, millions of people around the world would have died miserably but could still be happy.

In conclusion, although some people believe that our real responsibility is to achieve life satisfaction, I tend to believe that the government has a more essential role to play in creating happy opportunities. This is the best possible blessings for people's lives.
