Should Private Schools Receive Government Funding IELTS Writing Task 2 consists of three sample answers provided below. Schools are considered to be the information hub. It is the place from where a child learns to live in this world. The knowledge acquired at school forms the basis of a child's behaviour. However, there are many people who agree with the view that private schools should be funded just like government schools. But there are many who disagree with this point. According to my point of view, private schools should not be funded. The following arguments will prove my point.
Whenever we think of comparing private and government schools. The first point that comes is infrastructure and teachers. Private schools are more developed in terms of infrastructure. Also, the teachers are more qualified and trained in private schools as compared to that of government schools. To provide such facilities to children, high fees are demanded. But such a high amount of fees can't be afforded by everyone. Only a certain section of the population can afford it. This can be provided with an example of celebrities. Children of famous celebrities and businesses acquire high quality education. This enables them to be successful as compared to normal students.
On the other hand, government schools or state schools try to provide cheap and adequate education. They are funded by the government in all activities and facilities. The teachers are hired as per government job recruitment. For example, children of poor families or the labour class have to rely on government schools. For them education provided in government schools is affordable and the best option. From my perspective, the government should raise more funds for state or government schools. There shoukd.be propper checks by the government on such school's education. Qualified teachers and experienced teachers must be hired. There should be no socioeconomic difference in terms of education.
To conclude, private schools need not be funded by the government. They charge high fees. So they can work without government funding. However, education quality must be improved in government schools.

There must be no discrimination in terms of government funding. Government funding should be provided to all. It is argued that private schools should be provided with government funding. I do not support the statement. Private schools do not need government funding. The following arguments and examples support my point of view.
Private schools differ from government schools at various levels. The admission fees charged in private schools are a lot higher than government schools. The tuition fees are also very high in private schools. Parents who can afford private schools want their children to participate in extracurricular activities. Also, they are of the view that private school education is better than government schools. For example, children of celebrities or businessmen study in private schools. They are proficient in different languages and they might have better knowledge than average students. This is because private schools charge extra fees for such education. Teachers hired in private schools are a lot more qualified than government school teachers.
There are many surveys done to check knowledge of government school teachers. Unfortunately, the result was disappointing. Teachers of government schools don't have adequate knowledge to teach children effectively.
Also, if the government starts funding private schools, the budget of government schools will be decreased. Rather than funding private schools, the government should fund local schools more. There should be a proper check on the activities of government schools. The teachers must be hired on the basis of actual knowledge rather than degrees .
In conclusion, according to me, private schools can run independently. They don't need extra government funding because they charge higher fees. Government should take initiative regarding government and local schools. The quality of education must be checked. Also, due to the high population of students in government schools it becomes difficult to provide facilities to all. So, there should be an increase in the number of government schools.

Private schools are increasing day by day. The number of government schools are limited while there are a lot of private schools. There is a continuous discussion on the government funding for private schools. Many people agree with this viewpoint and many disagree. According to me, I totally agree with this viewpoint. The following statements and arguments will prove my viewpoint.
It can be normally seen that parents feel hesitant to get their children admitted in government school. It is because of the quality of education. Government schools are ignored. There is no proper initiative taken to maintain quality education and proper infrastructure and other facilities. The facilities provided in private schools are worth the fees they charge. Private schools, if funded by the government, might replace government schools totally. It will also provide opportunity to labour class children and poor children to get proper education. It will finish the discrimination commonly seen between private school children and government school children.
Through government funding, the fees for private schools will be decreased. It will ensure that everyone gets equal opportunity to acquire quality education.
Also, it will be a good alternative for government schools. Government or local schools don't necessarily have to be closed. They can still exist. Also, children can study there. But funding will provide middle class children to study in private schools.
Countries like Germany, Canada are making huge progress. The main reason for their progress is government findings for private schools. A country's progress depends upon its youth. Youth must be provided with right and adequate knowledge. They must be educated in all terms of life. Due to their knowledge and skills, a country grows. But due to low literacy rate due to high fees, students don't get education.
To conclude, private schools should be provided with government funding. It will be a great initiative towards education. It will increase the literacy rate. It will soon turn out to be a major reason for India's development.
