People generally visit museums to explore the history of a place, thing, or era. But now that the internet is spread throughout the corners of the world, museums are not much visited. People surf through their browser and voila, they have the information that they need. So, then the question arises whether the museums should get knocked down or not since the internet has a wide range of availability of knowledge and information.
I believe that it’s one way of putting the value of the internet above museums but the museums are not only about the information. We might be able to gather information about the past from the internet but the feel of reality can be felt through museums. You can feel real when you enter a museum, it’s as if you can touch the past. It can be a fun way of exploration for some people. It can be a tourist attraction. The internet is not still available in many countries in this world but these museums are. Many countries spend tons of money on museums so that they can make tourists feel the history. Spending time at home and googling information can be boring in comparison to going places and experiencing the visuals of the past reality on your own. The feel of the ancient era through looking at collectibles in reality sounds more fascinating than scrolling through the internet. It is unbelievably beautiful. We get to feel our culture through aesthetics when we enter the museums that any web design can not compete with.
Museums might not be the trend of the generations after the internet anymore but they speak more words through emotions than the words on the browser might ever.

The Internet has been a blessing to people since 1983. From information to entertainment, it has got everything. It’s the future of everything. Even museums are available on the internet. There are websites that allow us to visit the past through different experiences. Some offer video shows online and some offer images. It informs people with a source of entertainment then why should we switch to offline places anymore?
Many people argue that the museums should get knocked down by the government because of the vast use and knowledge available on the internet and I am in favour of that. Museums cover up a large area that can be used for better purposes like hospitals, medical facilities, supplies, or other useful sources. Not only that but it consumes a lot of money as well. The government spends a lot of money on museums in the name of saving money. This money can feed tons of starving bellies instead. The internet can provide tons of information on specific research only by knowing a few keywords. Whereas, if a person goes to an actual museum, it’ll take a lot of time for them to learn about things or dig up the resources available there. Museums are good for neither money nor time. They were better for the ages when people had the need to save history in front of their eyes but now, it’s not of much use. People relate museums with emotions of the past but what are these past emotions good for if the present is getting affected by them. A lot of European countries spend their funds on museums. This money can rather be saved and used for defeating world problems. Living in the past or reminiscing is of no use if it is not helping the present. The internet, on the other hand, does not cost money or consume time. Things on the internet are always only one click away or a few words away. There is no opening or closing time on the internet, the information is available there 24*7 and so are the resources. The internet has many more fun ways for the exploration of history than actual museums.
People make presentations and animations or videos and this not only helps with the entertainment but it also helps a person in the exploration of their inner and hidden talents.

When it comes to the exploration of history, culture, and the past, there are tons of options. Some prefer the internet over museums and some vice-versa. Others debate on which one is the better option. I personally have contradicting beliefs regarding this topic because I believe that they are both good at their own places.
On one hand, the internet saves money and time. It provides information with only one click. It has a variety of entertainment sources only to entertain the audience with the information. It makes life much simpler. It narrows down every detail with just a few keywords. It rewards the people who don’t prefer going outside and would rather stay in their homes than leave it for anything. It helps them with their research without them going anywhere or interacting with anyone. It saves the funds that the government spends on museums. Those saved funds can always be used for better purposes like helping some charitable organization or actually building one. On the other hand, I believe that it also makes a person lazy. It makes them believe that everything can be possible if they stay at home. Museums don’t do that. They might consume a lot of money and time but they are proof of the existence of beauty of the past. From mere collectibles to the fossils of dinosaurs, they provide us with incredible beauty. They make people want to leave their comfort zone for the good. They make many families happy by being an adventure for their weekends. They attract tourists to traveling countries and help them explore the culture of a place or the history of science. Museums are live results of the beauty of the past. You can feel the past through the goosebumps that you might get when you explore the history which wasn’t much clear through the images or the videos available on the internet. They are more than just resources of information.
After everything, in the end, people go to museums for research that they will eventually upload on the internet. And on the contrary, people can’t upload everything on the internet without a source and a museum is that source. In conclusion, I believe that they’re codependent and both have their own importance to their existence.
