Band 8 IELTS Answer

The line chart shows store closures and store openings for one country from 2011 to 2018. Overall, both the number of store closures and the number of store openings show significant fluctuations during the specified period. However, the number of closures exceeded the number of openings in all years except 2011 and 2015.

The number of closed stores fluctuated between approximately 6,000 and 7,000 during the first four years of the reporting period and then declined sharply to a low of approximately 600 stores in 2015. However, this number increased significantly the following year to approximately 5,000 stores. This level was maintained until the end of the period. Approximately 8,500 stores opened in 2011, bringing the net number of store openings to 2,000. After plummeting from 4,444 deals to 4,000 deals in 2012, store openings rebounded to just over 6,000 deals, about the same level as 2014's 4,444 deals.
In 2015, this returned to his 2012 level and remained at 4,444 cases, but has since declined further. In 2018, the number was at an all-time low of 3,000.
