Band 7 IELTS Essay

Globalization is advancing on our planet. Therefore, scholars predict that in the future, regardless of people's cultural or religious beliefs, the entire world will speak the same mother tongue. This, in my opinion, is crucial for achieving globalization. In order to illustrate ideas and provide evidence for claims. This article will analyze this scenario using examples from research conducted by Oxford University and a survey conducted by Time Magazine.

First off, communication will be easier thanks to the unification of mother tongues. Because of their tough language, certain research publications are currently exceedingly challenging to grasp. Students must also complete a variety of language courses in order to be admitted to a particular university in a certain country. For instance, Oxford University conducted research on the world's educational systems in 2016. And discovered that the majority of students left academic institutions because they were unable to bridge the communication gap. Between teachers and students due to their poor command of that particular language. Therefore, it is evident from the example that a unified language system is now necessary.

Second, proponents of cultural language systems contend that unification of the world's speaking systems. And everyone's adoption of a uniform language will destroy a society's cultural values. But this is only an assumption, and in fact, it will make more cultures more well known to the world. Additionally, because those civilizations have only local significance, we will know more about the world's lost cultures than we do now. Similar to this, a 2016 Time Magazine survey clearly demonstrates that 60% of respondents. Disapprove of the notion that a global unification of languages would undermine social standards. Therefore, it is evident from the example that people support globalized speaking forums.

To sum up, those who are unaware of the advantages of this system deny the globalization of language without a doubt. And I'm happy with how languages are currently becoming more universal. When individuals recognize the significance of this globalization, we will start to see genuine benefits.

Scientists have projected that in the near future, everyone would speak a single common language as a result of globalization. This issue, in my opinion, will negatively affect a nation's culture and employment rate.

Without a question, speaking a single language has its advantages. The main benefit will be improved communication between individuals. The state of international relations will improve, which will spur economic expansion. For instance, vacationers can travel anywhere without worrying about a communication gap. Since the signboards are in their native tongue, which is confusing to visitors like me. I can't even begin to conceive coming to Japan without the assistance of an interpreter at this time.

However, the detrimental impacts overwhelm any constructive progress. The country's culture will be harmed, which is the main adverse effect. The people's identity and culture are reflected in their language. Local languages will gradually disappear, taking with them their history and culture. For instance, according to current study, 80% of Africa's indigenous languages are already extinct. Leaving rare artifacts and texts written in ancient languages untranslated. The loss of languages has caused the loss of history and culture that would have benefited everyone in some way.

A significant portion of society will also lose their jobs. Any country's local interpreters and tour guides make significant economic contributions. Traveling has gotten considerably simpler as a result of globalization, and people now do so almost all year long. If everyone could communicate in the same language, no one would need translators or guides, which would put a tremendous number of people out of work.

To sum up, having a single language provides advantages of its own. But it also puts a nation's culture and history at danger and creates unemployment. Therefore, I am convinced that it will have a detrimental impact on society.

Band 9 IELTS Essay

Some scientists predict that in the future, everyone will speak the same language. I believe that if this prediction does come true, it will have both positive and negative effects.

There is little doubt that a universal language will have many advantages for both people and corporations. It will facilitate communication. Businesses can thereafter promote their goods globally. Additionally, people may travel anywhere in the world without having to worry about getting lost due to a lack of common language. In turn, this will help sectors like tourism and hospitality. It goes without saying that a global language will help practically all economies. It might even promote tolerance and respect between persons of different racial or cultural backgrounds.

The process of moving will become simple for people in other places. This is due to the fact that there is just one native language, which enables people to understand the foreign speech. Additionally, they are not needed to pay for any exams or tests in order to be granted authorization to operate in the country. For instance, today's newcomers must take an IELTS exam in order to register with a council. However, they want to make sure that those settlers have the skills necessary to carry out their job tasks.

On the other hand, the idea of speaking only one language does not augur well for the maintenance of cultural identities. Language is inextricably related to culture. Therefore, it won't take long for a people to lose their culture if they cease using their own dialect and instead embrace a global language. Local literature and folklore will no longer be available to future generations as local languages die. This will be a major loss to humanity, in my opinion. The loss of jobs for those who work as interpreters and translators is another potential result. They will be unemployed in a society where everyone speaks the same language.

In conclusion, a universal language can be advantageous for both people and corporations because it makes communication simple. However, it might result in the extinction of diversity and cultures.
