Topic: Scientists can increase people’s lifespan to 100 years. Is this a good or bad thing?

Band 8 IELTS Essay

Science has a significant impact on human immortality. While some contend that it is useful because it will boost human survival rates, others contest this. According to me, science will unquestionably ensure that individuals live to be at least 200 years old and that society will benefit from it.

People generally agree that having more years on earth is advantageous since it provides them more time spent with family. In other words, people become more bonded to their family as they live longer. Think of the current generation becoming great great grandparents after living for more than 10 decades, knowing more than 4 to 5 generations. Hence, an extended family community was created.

First, take into account those who believe that advances in medical technology will allow humans to live up to or even past 100 years in the future. In other words, there are many different vaccinations and treatments on the market that protect people from diseases that are susceptible.

For instance, a recent newspaper story said that, compared to earlier data, the death rate in underdeveloped nations had decreased by 60%. The improvement in medical technology can help with this. As a result, science will lengthen the average human longevity on earth.

On the other hand, some disagree with the idea that if individuals start living longer than their typical lifespans, it will be bad for the human race. Humans will need more resources as time goes on, and the government will face environmental threats as a result.

According to a new hypothesis, for instance, a healthy food chain is necessary for each species to perform its part in nature for a set amount of time. Any disruption with it poses a threat to the lives of other animals. As a result, there ought to be restrictions on how long people may survive on earth.

Finally, I believe that research will increase people's life expectancy rates, which will be good for mankind as a whole. if people do not pass away when they should. But doing so may upset the natural food chain.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

People who have lived longer than was ever thought possible on earth have benefited much from science. Some people think that society would gain in a variety of ways from it, while others claim that it would have negative impacts on the human species as a whole. In this post, I'll explain why I disagree with the idea that life expectancy has grown.

Some experts might evaluate while assessing the place of science in everyday life. As a consequence of enormous advancements made in the area of medicine worldwide, people can now live up to 100 or even 200 years. As a result, young people have employed many knowledgeable professionals.

As a result, the business would have a higher success rate and benefit from marketing techniques. These are directed towards the competition that had already been thought out and prepared by the seniors before. I'll use a recent newspaper item as an illustration. It claims unequivocally that the improvement in the hospitality industry. It is the reason why the mortality rate in emerging nations has decreased by 55% since the statistics from the past. But as long as they live a long time, there are countless environmental disadvantages. One of the obvious consequences is that by providing or providing food, they place a load on the family members. Due to age-related health issues and the fact that they are weary, they are unable to perform any basic tasks without assistance.

Additionally, despite the population growth, the government still needs to provide them with more housing. For instance, according to specialists, it would unquestionably impact other species' food chains, which would make the situation more chaotic.

In conclusion, even providing the elderly with care is an important service. I think the drawbacks outweigh the advantages in terms of medical costs and the stress they place on their loved ones.

Band 6.5 IELTS Essay

Many individuals in the age of technology believe that the work of scientists will enable people to live for between 100 and 200 years, which will be beneficial to mankind. However, some do not believe that this will be the case. I disagree with that viewpoint and am of the opinion that this science will no longer be required. In this article, I'll explore both points of view and share my personal viewpoint.

One the one hand, several countries share the belief that science will enable a society to live up to 100 or even 200 years. New technology will develop medical sciences to provide the community the opportunity to live longer than it does now.

A good illustration can be seen in developed nations like Germany. This is where the high quality of the healthcare available to its citizens is evident in the proportion of elderly residents. Last but not least, a lot of people think it will be fantastic if humans can live for many years beyond 100.

Others, on the other hand, disagree with this viewpoint. Since it would result in a greater proportion of elderly citizens and persons in this age group. These people’s productivity would plummet and whose costs to the nations would rise. For instance, there are many regions in China that are well-known among the elderly on Earth, and it is easy to see how they live and what they produce in these areas.

On the one hand, those who view this medical advancement as a great achievement claim. Such circumstances would let individuals be with their loved ones for a longer amount of time than typical. For instance, there wouldn't be any sadness or grief associated with losing a loved one because there wouldn't be many deaths. Additionally, a longer lifetime allows for the preservation and use of specialists' wisdom for a longer period of time, which will fulfil future generations.

In conclusion, I think it is not a good idea to create a society where members will live longer than 100 years. And that people can utilize science to create communities where members will live healthy lives. While many people believe that is good for people, some believe the opposite.
