Band 8 IELTS Letter
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am Peter Parker pursuing my undergrad in Mathematics. I recently noticed on the Career Board about the hiring of a volunteer for the school library during the summer break. I am here to express my interest in the same job position.
I volunteered in my school library during my high school days for almost a year. I was in charge of maintaining the records of assigning the collecting the books, arranging them according to the genres. I was also in charge of collecting the late submission fees of the library books. Moreover, I have proved my excellence in managing the records as well as arranging the books in systematic orders in the library. I think I will be a perfect fit for this position since I already have experience. I have always had a keen eye for books and different genres. Living and working among books has always made me happier which has added exponentially to my skills. I have been able to develop my knowledge on arranging different books based on their genres. Further, I was able to guide my own team of workers in the library and provide assistance to the students.
Since this is a summertime job as well as part-time, it would be easier for me to manage my study timings as well. I want to work for this job role as I want to gain further experience to become a full time librarian in the future. I am quite hard-working and would responsibly do my work. I am always available via phone or email.
Regards,
Henry
Band 9 IELTS Letter
Dear Sir or Madam,
I noticed the hiring for summer-time volunteers for the school library and would like to apply for the same. Since this is a part-time job it will be easier for me to balance my studies as well.
I have extensive two years of experience in volunteering in the school library during my high school years. I was responsible for collecting the late submission fees, the arrangement of books according to the syllabus of different standards. I was also responsible for maintaining daily sheets of visitors. I have also been able to provide assistance to the students who have come to search for relevant books of their curriculum. I have been able to coordinate with the staff of the library thereby showcasing my communication and cooperation abilities. I feel I am a good fit for the job since I have the required experience. I have patience, and hard-working as well to do this job.
Also, working in our esteemed university will help me get hold of the working culture. Since I will be working at my place of study it will also be easier for me to communicate with colleagues. I want to pursue a course and profession as a librarian and it is extremely important that I learn the dynamics of it. I want this job to enhance my experiences and become more proficient in my competencies. I am always available via calls and messages.

Jenny
Band 7 IELTS Letter
Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is Samantha Richard and I am a second-year student. I am majoring in English and planning to go to graduate school after I graduate.
I am writing this letter to express my interest in the open job position at the school library. I saw the advertisement posted for the job bought in the career centre. While I was in high school I worked as a volunteer in a public library near my house. I help the other librarians with checking out books, returning to the shelf, and answering the telephone. I have also spent two years of my college as a volunteer in the college library. I notice that the position is part-time and hence it won’t hamper my studies. I have developed my skills to arrange the books and keep them in order of genres and sections. I also have my skills in memorising the areas for which section includes which books hence, helping students faster and easily. My skill development would further be possible when I work through this job and I would be able to enhance my competencies.
Additionally, I have relevant experience and I am a dedicated job person.I want to inform you that I want this job because I want to have more experience as a library coordinator in the future. I want to pursue a degree in library science which would expand my theoretical knowledge. Henceforth, working as a summer volunteer would lead me to have practical knowledge as well. I am available by email at samantha65@gmail.com. Looking for and reply.
Regards,
Samantha
