Band 8 IELTS Essay

In today’s modern world, we have clearly seen that children are becoming dependent on computers for their education and other activities. Some people believe that teachers should avoid using computers in classrooms and should take them back to basic teaching and studying skills. But in my view, students should use computers for educational purposes but they should not be totally dependent on technology for studying. They should follow both the patterns of study that includes studying on computer as well as on books but making a proper balance between both of them.

The use of computers in schools is really very beneficial for students as well as teachers. We totally agree with the fact that excess use of technology has a potential impact on children's reading and writing skills but completely avoiding the use of computers is not the best solution to the above problem. There are a lot of things present in the computer that can help the children to increase their knowledge and link them with the latest techniques and technologies. Children can use their PC to search for educational content that will improve their general knowledge in every field. These days many institutions and organizations conduct online webinars and classes discussing the latest technology or research work going on. If children are aware of using the computer, they can easily attend these online classes to gain knowledge about the latest research or work going on in this world.

Apart from children, the use of computers in schools is also beneficial for the teachers. Teachers can record the videos and make the presentations to add crisp to the lessons and generate interest of the students in the studies. This will keep children engaged in the learning process and keep them active during the studies duration. Teachers can also use the computers to keep the record of the students, their assignments and grades in the exam safely instead of wasting time in gathering this data manually. Therefore, we conclude that the limited use of computers will provide a number of benefits to both the children and teachers.so, we should not avoid the use of computers but should learn how to use the computer in a correct manner.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

It is said that school children are becoming dependent on computers and to solve this problem, teachers should avoid using the computers while teaching students and should get back to the basic teaching skills. I believe that avoiding the use of computers is not the best solution to the problem.

Computers play a very important role in the student’s life. The only thing that needs to be taken care of is that students should be guided well, so that they can make positive use of the technology and not become dependent on it. The use of computers helps the students to research the informative data related to their studies or gaining extra information, hence improving their basic knowledge and keeping them up-to-date with the latest information. These days, in most of the schools and colleges, the classes are conducted in the online mode and some universities organize the online activities such as debate, speech, presentations, etc. In such cases, students need to have the knowledge regarding the use of computers and can participate in the various engaging and knowledgeable activities.

It also provided many benefits to the teachers as well. It helps the teachers to arrange the online meetings and can teach the students in the online mode. It also provides a mode to the teachers to communicate with the other teachers, share ideas among themselves, and can have access to the professional development resources. Therefore, we concluded that the use of computers is a good option but totally depending on the technology is not correct. Everyone should know their limits while using the technology and should make positive use of it that helps them to build up in their career.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

In today’s modernized world, we have clearly seen that youngsters are totally dependent on technology for their education as well as entertainment. To solve this serious problem, it is said that teachers should not make the use of computers in schools and colleges, so that students don’t become dependent on the technology. They believe that excess use of technology can have an alarming effect on their reading and writing skills. So, we will discuss this problem and will find a better solution to it.

We have seen that computers are used from the primary classes itself in every school. Teachers help them to learn the basic techniques, shortcuts, and other basic information regarding the computer. But it is observed that students are becoming dependent on this technology which deteriorates their vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing skills. The complete restriction on the use of computers and technology is not the best solution to this problem. To solve it, teachers should guide the students to not become dependent on technology and should use it for a limited period of time. They should also engage the students in manual work such as improving their writing and reading skills, etc.

Teachers are also using the presentations and MS word notes to teach the students which limits the use of blackboards. Therefore, it is also necessary for the teachers to avoid the excess teaching from the presentations and online notes. Every school should include the computer lecture twice a week in their timetable and should restrict the use of computers in any other lecture except in the computer lecture. This will limit the use of technology and reduces the dependency of students on the computers and will take both the teachers and students back to their basic teaching and learning skills respectively.
