Protecting the Environment is the Responsibility of the Government IELTS Writing Task 2

There is ample evidence that multinational corporations play an important role in maintaining the living world. The primary reason for this is twofold. First, industries are the second largest contributor to natural habitat disruption. Containing the waste and preventing toxic gasses from entering the atmosphere will slow the deterioration process. Second, communities should actively participate in environmental preservation. While the government is preoccupied with the welfare of people, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) should step forward to combat water and air pollution. For example, petition circulated by a Paris-based activist group against female rape had a phenomenal reach and reduced the percentage of rape in France by 2%. As a result, it is undeniably clear that the fight against environmental destruction seeks stronger allies in corporations and activist groups.

Furthermore, regardless of the laws enacted by the administration, it is people and their attitudes toward their surroundings that determine the way forward. Citizens must be aware of the catastrophic effects on the environment. Citizens must be aware of the catastrophic effects on nature because their consumption of goods leads to increasing levels of toxic gasses in air and water. It is critical that they are aware of ways to save the habitat. Thus sustainable living must be followed with an emphasis on recycling, reusing, and reducing materials. Therefore, the government regulates various environmental policies. I believe that the responsibility for environmental preservation must be shared by citizens, corporations, and governments.

The Governments are doing everything they can to create and implement laws that will increase the penalties for those who take advantage of the situation. However, in order to implement the various environmental policies, citizens' cooperation is required. Therefore Philippines' Natural Resources reported in 2017 that the success in arresting illegal loggers was possible with the assistance of residents living.

On the one hand, nature requires a complete overhaul because it has been abused for far too long. Governments around the world are doing everything they can to create and implement laws that will increase the penalties for environmental abusers. On the other hand, an increasing number of people are attempting to save the environment. There are numerous non-governmental organizations that were formed which could help to heal the planet's deteriorating condition. Many young adults are also interested in participating in various types of fundraising events. For example- The registration fees to fund the rehabilitation of specific affected areas. Takbo SA Ilog Pasig, for example, gathered over 300,000 runners in 2017 with the goal of assisting in the restoration of the Pasig River. It raised nearly 2 million pesos from its participants and donors. Finally, I strongly disagree with the statement that the government should be the sole entity responsible for rehabilitation.

The government bears responsibility for mitigating environmental issues because it has the budget to do so. Environmental issues such as global warming, air pollution, and water pollution are widespread these days and could be addressed with readily available funds. For example, environmental issues such as air pollution can be mitigated by improving public transportation. Therefore, air pollution can be reduced by improving public transportation. This could be accomplished by investing a large amount of money in a number of public facilities. However, the general public can help to reduce air pollution by driving fewer personal vehicles. Another reason is that it is the government's responsibility, as it collects large amounts of tax from the public. Money collected from the general public is mostly used to improve various sectors, including environmental issues. This should be used to address issues such as air pollution and water pollution. This, in turn, means that individual responsibility no longer exists, because the government has the resources, such as money, to deal with them. In Japan, for example, the government used taxes collected from the general public to solve up to 70% of environmental problems in 2016. However, the government also provides public services to the people in exchange for the taxes they pay. In my opinion, I agree with this notion because the state has the financial resources to deal with environmental issues. However it is also the government's responsibility due to the taxes they collect from the people.
