Topic: The prevention of health problems and illness is more important than treatment and medicine. Government funding should reflect this. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Model Answer 1

It is widely accepted that prevention is preferable to treatment, implying that preventing health problems and diseases is preferable than healing them. In my opinion the government should provide healthcare funding that will assist individuals in preventing health difficulties.

To begin with, if the government spends money in adopting preventive measures and promoting prevention approaches, it will encourage people to live stress-free lives. Thus, the government is required to make enough investments in health-care education and awareness initiatives to raise public knowledge of the need of leading a healthy lifestyle. This will help individuals with avoiding expensive medical treatments. In other words, the government is required to allocate funds towards ensuring maintenance of cleanliness and hygiene of a place. Ensuring these measures will help reduce the outbreak of infectious viruses and prevention of the spread of fatal viral diseases.

An individual should treat themselves based on the diseases and illness that they have acquired in order to stay in a healthy state and recover quickly. This requires the government to devote greater resources in medical research to safeguard humanity from sickness. With the aid of research, scientists will be able to discover the reason and solution for a variety of ailments that would otherwise be too expensive to treat. Despite significant technical developments, scientists were unable to develop a viable therapy or cure for the lethal coronavirus illness. The Covid-19 virus epidemic resulted in a significant death toll in nations all over the world, with numerous deaths and mortalities.

To conclude with, in my opinion I believe that there is a necessity for the government to invest funds appropriately in the healthcare system as a priority and motivate people.

Model Answer 2

Curing an illness is important, but prevention before the onset of a disease is the concern of some and government financial aid is required to be allocated accordingly. Thus, in my opinion I firmly agree that prevention is better than cure to raise a healthy community.

A positive reason towards the provision of more funds in research with respect to the area of medicine can be justified by the increasing number of cancer patients each day. The government spends huge capital towards treating cancer patients, but regardless the number of deaths or patients affected by this fatal disease is not declining. The major challenge that stands is to derive a solution to prevent the disease by considering allocation of more research funds in this aspect.

There is another major point that can be considered is having future generations that are healthy and to see our upcoming youth disease free. There are several that individuals acquire at an early stage such as; obesity, high blood pressure and diabetes. In this sector, funds are needed to teach young children about the importance of eating well and exercising. As a result of these training sessions, a company where young people may live a healthy life should emerge.

Finally, greater funding directed toward identifying and preventing the fundamental cause would benefit a larger population by reducing the amount of money spent on illness treatment. Because healthy people outperform others at work, a healthy nation will offer more economic benefits to the country. Furthermore, health generates happiness, as seen by the Netherlands, which is regarded as a happy location to live and raise a family, with individuals who are physically fit and active.

To summarize, the government should give more cash to essential causes such as avoiding health concerns through research or awareness training in order to have a healthy world, which will have a good influence by reducing the number of sick individuals.

Model Answer 3

Some people believe that treatment takes precedence over prevention. However, according to me, prevention is preferable than cure and the government should consider investing more in prevention. I will highlight more of my ideas in the preceding essay.

To begin with, the government is required to consider appropriate allocation of funds for sanitation. It is a well-known truth that messy or dirty environments are the source of many health problems and illnesses. People who live in slums, for example, are more likely to have a variety of medical problems. Authorities are unable to maintain sanitary conditions for inhabitants due to a lack of infrastructure and staff.

Second, the government should make research investments. It will aid in the prevention of severe and infant illnesses, hence preventing health issues, as well as the high cost of patient care, which may cost a lot even in government facilities. Many nations, for example, failed horribly in the corona pandemic owing to a lack of medical research, and the treatment was unmanageable. Medical research will undoubtedly benefit the country's economy.

To conclude with, prevention of illness is necessary to be considered. Thus, the government is required to focus on sanitary approaches and medical facilities research. Furthermore, this will also act as a security shield against potential disease and will become easier as there will be decline in medical emergencies.
