Band 8 IELTS Essay
Many nations have historic structures. It gives an overview of the nation's history and culture. For the prosperity of the nation, some people want these structures torn down and replaced by educational facilities. It is the duty of the government to conserve and maintain each nation's unique historical landscapes, structures, and cultural legacy because they are the property of the nation as a whole.
The legality of those structures, according to some of us, necessitates their replacement with new structures in order for progress to occur. The statute that was given to me to protect the nation's heritage, however, is justifiable for the reasons listed below. Due to extensive construction projects, space availability is a significant issue today. However, I believe that ancient buildings are part of the country's history and that they represent the charm of modern cities, so they should not be demolished. Historic buildings need to be preserved and restored for future generations.
These old structures tell of how those countries changed for the better, and also of the heroic people who did well in accommodating the better generation. For example, the Great Wall of China symbolizes the king’s dedication and effort to protect people from other nations. The Taj Mahal was built by King Shah Jahan to express his love for his wife. Those buildings are wonders now because they serve as an inspiration to us, so not completely saving them is not meaningless. First of all, the buildings built in the previous era represent the history of the country. For example, it tells how people lived before. Architecture concept, design, construction, and technology when there are not enough facilities and options as we have in the 21st century. This example clearly shows that the structure of the last century reflects the history of the country. Preserving history as an old architectural building in this way will be an asset to future generations who will remember the life of their ancestors instead of modern architectural architecture.
Band 7.5 IELTS Essay
The history of the country can be learned through older structures. Buildings of this type were constructed during a time when the working class lacked both, and their creation demonstrates their ingenuity and creativity while also providing insight into their way of life. The fact that historic structures draw tourists from throughout the world is another advantage of keeping them up. The development of a country's economy depends in large part on tourism.
An entire nation's tourism industry depends on its historical sites. It promotes a successful tourism industry in addition to displaying the culture and art of the locals. These historical monuments add millions of dollars to the economies of the countries. Therefore, destroying them is a way of causing great financial losses. The old-fashioned structure is actually an attraction and magnetic attraction to local residents. For example, when everyone is passing through new buildings and suddenly they look towards the old building, their eyes stick towards the old building and now they are not bothered to visit the new building again because these buildings have become unique and rare. This example of the old structure appeals to the local people. Therefore, the old-style building can be seen to attract public attention as compared to the newly designed and constructed buildings.
Finally, the historic building is a great topic for architectural historians. Much of the lost civilization came before us with all those buildings, which also serve as sources of information for research work. There are so many buildings in the world that are the wonder of engineering work that inspires the modern engineer.
Furthermore, I feel that history is not an obstacle to the development or progress of a country, instead, it is teaching lessons and inspiration to the people. For example, people take a step forward from mistakes, problems, issues, difficulties and they will not repeat those mistakes in the future.
Therefore, replacing the old with new buildings is very much a cultural and economic loss to the whole country.
