Model Answer 1

What is this skill?

Practical skills are more vital than theoretical knowledge in today's environment. Because we are aware of and possess practical abilities, we are able to carry out our daily activities. Many abilities are required to complete such tasks. We do not consciously learn them. However, some abilities are learned with enthusiasm and curiosity. These are the types of transferable practical abilities. One such practical skill I picked up was handling finances and taxes. This talent, in my opinion, is necessary throughout one's entire life. The ability to manage finances and one's own costs might be advantageous.

When did you learn it?

Schools do not cover this subject. However, it ought to be taught as a crucial practical skill. One day, we must all mature and learn to manage our finances and taxes. We all need to be adequately knowledgeable about this. The practical skills that will be important and valuable in the future must be taught in schools. I recall seeing a chartered accountant check on our wallet when I was a child. He was asked to handle the taxes and business profit, etc. Since we had a family business. I paid close attention to what he was doing and to him. I learned some tax lingo from the observation and gained an understanding of banking. I made the decision to study finance and taxation on my own in high school.

How did you learn it?

I finished a comprehensive online course on taxes that covered every angle. In order to mentor me and evaluate my modules and allow me to directly monitor my development, I also invited the family's chartered accountant to do so. In order for me to obtain practical experience, he also extended the invitation to work with him after the training was finished. I was really excited to be able to intern under him because I knew he was a great number cruncher. I quickly completed the course and began working for his business.

Explain why you think it was important?

I ran into a lot of the practical problems that could come up when filing taxes while I was working, but with time and effort, I was able to solve them. I realised how important it is to grasp finances thoroughly so that one may make wise financial decisions without always seeking advice. If this is your area of interest, you can use this skill for the rest of your life and make a great career out of it.

Model Answer 2

What is this skill?

A person can earn money by using their practical skills, and the better they are at a particular ability, the better their prospects of doing so are. What was once useful in today's environment has become obscure. It all comes down to the material in today's world—how enticing and informative it is. I made the decision to learn photography and videography after realising how prevalent it was becoming in the virtual world.

When did you learn it?

When social media and YouTube videos first caught everyone's attention, I was a senior in high school. Everyone wants to make a Youtube video or publish photos on social media. I was also sucked into the madness. But I soon realised that nobody was really good at it, so if I learned this practical skill, I could do professional work. I also knew that this would become more important in the future due to the rapid advancement of technology. I, therefore, studied photography and videography in addition to my academic courses when I was in college.

How did you learn it?

In a photo studio close to my institution, they were taking enrollments for their course, which employed hands-on instruction to teach students how to take ideal images and how to edit them for visually appealing compositions. They patiently taught us every step of creating wholesome material over the length of the course's five months.

Explain why you think it was important?

It is a crucial practical skill because we receive information about everything around us digitally. The foundation of good content is taking high-quality photos and editing them skillfully to entice viewers to follow you. Today, it is a skill that can be applied in any profession, making it a skill that enables people to be adaptable.

Model Answer 3

What is this skill?

No matter what technology improvements we experience, communication skills are one practical talent that will never become obsolete. One can always use the ability to communicate effectively and conveniently in any line of employment to complete tasks.

When did you learn it?

I've been skilled at public speaking since middle school, so I wanted to learn more about corporate communication so I could apply it in my career. I made the decision to join the British Council, which offered business communication courses taught by professionals when I was a senior in high school.

How did you learn it?

I had to take a few tests before signing up for the course in order for the mentors to gauge my general level of English ability and suggest the level I should pursue. I chose to enrol in the intermediate course rather than the primary level course because the evaluation result was quite excellent. I received instruction in all facets of business communication, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening. By the end of the training, I was proficient in business communication lingo and could speak with comfort in a formal context.

Explain why you think it was important?

Business communication is a practical talent that, in my opinion, everyone who wants to work in an official setting after finishing school should have. It is a skill that may be used to persuade others, present information clearly, create good business correspondence to catch people's attention, persuade another professional to pay attention to what you have to say, and many other things. One would always need this ability, and one could always use it.
