Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Nature is the most beautiful and precious gift to mankind. Mother nature is the building block of our planet and we cannot survive without flora and fauna. In today’s world, people are cutting down forests for apartments and shopping malls. It is very important for the environment to plant more trees. Now the question is if we should plant trees in vacant areas or in housing facilities. In this essay, we will discuss this point.

Trees are a very important part of nature as they provide us with oxygen to live and also have many other beneficial qualities. They help in maintaining a good temperature and protect the planet against many natural disasters. Trees are crucial for living beings, we can't even imagine a life without bright, green, and lush trees. Planting trees is an activity where we plant trees so that we and our coming generation can get the benefit of nature. We are living in an industrialized world, and factories and companies are a part of our lives. But we should not forget the destruction we are causing in the wake of modernization. To build factories and buildings, thousands of trees are cut every year which is causing serious problems for our world. Not just factories, to build roads also, many forests are cleared. We cannot stop the building of modern technology or roads but what we can do is plant trees to compensate for the damage caused by these activities. Nature is precious, don't destroy it in the hope of a modern world because we cannot imagine a better world without plants and trees. They gave us life and we are living on this planet only because of them. The negative externalities caused by the building of houses and roads should not be ignored. We can't stop this but planting trees is at least something we could do to save our planet. There are many companies that follow rules and regulations that are good for the environment. They produce eco-friendly products and also make sure that the waste disposed of by their factories is not harming the drinkable water for the people. But there are still some companies who are constantly polluting the environment and even cutting trees to suit their requirements.

Someone has said it right, "No trees, no life". I think planting trees are very important. We need to encourage housing societies to plant trees in their gardens. All the citizens should plant trees and take care of them in vacant areas of the city. Without trees, it is difficult of the human race to survive.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

Planting trees is very important for our environment as they protect us from natural disasters, deadly diseases, and many other problems. Soil erosion is a major problem for farmers as the water removes the top layer of the soil and makes it unfit for farming purposes.

Afforestation is a way by which soil erosion can be prevented as trees soak up the water and the soil remains unaffected. Another problem that trees can solve is Global Warming. It is the long-term heating of Earth's climate due to human activities like deforestation and fossil fuel burning. These activities increase the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. And it can increase heat, flooding, and erosion in coastal areas, and can severely impact human lives. Global Warming can be prevented up to some extent by planting trees as trees provide oxygen which is the building block of our lives. And global warming can be reduced by the high quantity of oxygen in the environment. Trees are a gift to us, we should do everything possible to save them as life on Earth is not possible without trees. In many cultures, trees are worshipped as gods because they are giving us life and we cannot live without them. The famous "Chipko movement" by the women of Uttarakhand is famous. They stopped the woodcutters from cutting the trees, the women hugged the trees and didn't let the woodcutters cut them. This movement tells us how important trees are and how we should do whatever we can to protect them. Trees are not just a means of providing oxygen, they are also the livelihood of many people, there are some people whose daily bread is dependent on them. These people sell fruits and vegetables provided by the trees and this is how they manage to get food for their families. This tells us that we should plant trees not just because we are living on Earth but also because there are some people who need them to feed their families.

Band 6 IELTS Essay

It is very important to plant more and more trees to protect our environment. Trees are a vital habitat for wildlife, humans, and animals both cannot survive without the oxygen in the environment.

We see nowadays there are many instances of wild animals breaking into cities and sometimes, even harming humans, what is the reason? The reason is that we have cleared the forests for our needs and requirements and these forests were the habitat of wild animals. And now they've nowhere to go, so they are roaming outside the forest area. We have houses to live in but think about animals whose life is dependent on the forest they live in. If we continue to cut trees, where will they go and what will they eat? Think about it. Another reason to plant more and more trees is that trees are crucial for recreational purposes. We go to parks with bright green trees, it makes us happy and we feel peaceful and satisfied. Trees provide shade to travelers. According to research, the green color of trees is good for our eyes and people who live near plants and trees live a long and healthy life. Our environment directly affects our health, there are various trees and plants that are used in the preparation of many crucial medicines. If we don't stop cutting trees, these medicines will not be available anymore. And there are many patients who are currently living because of such medicines, and their lives will be in danger. It's not possible to completely stop the cutting of trees. But we can compensate for the forests by planting trees in some other place so, the total effect of this activity can be nullified. Trees are a blessing for living beings, don't take them for granted and protect them. We are facing many climate-related crises already but still, it's not too late to rectify our mistakes. Plant more and more trees to give your children a good and healthy environment and start doing it today.
