Band 6 Answer

Three different bridge types—an arch, a concrete girder, and a suspension bridge—are compared in these images in terms of design. With the arch bridge having the most bare-bones construction of all. It is obvious that each model was created in response to the characteristics of a certain region.

The concrete girder bridge's design, depending on the number of piers it has, allows for an endless extension in length. Whereas the arch bridge can only reach less than 200m. The suspension bridge appears to have no boundaries as to how far it can extend in the meantime. Furthermore, the sea where big ships often set sail can be crossed by this bridge model. However, narrower waterways like rivers and lakes are the only places where arch and concrete girder bridges can be used. While the suspension bridge structure can be constructed on deep-sea levels, arch and concrete girder bridges can only be elevated. In terms of height, up to 100 and 300 metres above the ocean, respectively. As a final point, the concrete girder model has much more piers compared to the other two, each of which being fewer than 200 metres apart. Each of the three bridges in the images has a distinctive shape and size when taken as a whole.

Three distinct bridge building methods are shown in the diagram. The suspension bridge, concrete grinder, and arch are the three various types of bridges displayed. When viewed as a whole, it is immediately clear that suspension bridges can accommodate the largest ships. While concrete girder bridges may be the longest and tallest.

Only the tiniest ships may pass under arch bridges since they are not as tall or lengthy. When it comes to arch bridges, the maximum height allowed is 100 metres, while the normal length is less than 200 metres. Conical in shape, and able to accommodate the smallest ships, these bridges are constructed over lakes. Concrete girder bridges, in comparison, can have an arbitrary length, but they can only be as tall as 300 metres. Only medium-sized ships can pass via concrete bridges over rivers because they need a sequence of piers spaced no more than 200 metres apart to provide support. As long as there is shallow land to connect pier structures at either end, the modern suspension bridge can span distances of 400 to 2000 metres. And it can be built over very deep waters. The spacing between piers makes it possible for even the biggest ships to pass securely underneath.

The three illustrations that are ostensibly showing the structure of three different types of bridges. These are—the arch, concrete girder, and suspension bridge—detailed information about those structures. The first thing that stands out is the conical shape of the arch bridge. It has a maximum height of 100 metres and a typical length of less than 200 metres.

This bridge is situated across a lake and was constructed utilising a variety of building materials. It also features a little ship docked in the river. Second, the span of the concrete girder bridge is no more than 200 metres in length but no taller than 300 metres. It features five piers that are designed to sustain a road that is used for travel because it is hardly visible that the road has been built on these piers. The last type of modern bridge is referred to as a suspension bridge. It is significantly larger, measuring 400–200 metres in length, and it can accommodate enormous ships. This bridge is built across a very deep sea, and it features two of the largest piers into the water that are safest for huge ship traffic. When viewed in its entirety, it is clear that each bridge in the three photographs has a unique shape and size.
