Band 7 IELTS Essay
Happiness is defined differently by each individual. Some claim that variables directly influencing happiness include material wealth, increasing earnings, and declining commodities prices. Others argue that socialising, maintaining excellent health, having great relationships with others, and having tight family ties are important components of happiness.
To start, it is undeniable that individuals who have prosperous occupations and enterprises lead wealthier lifestyles than the typical member of society. They may indulge their wants and buy satisfying things in part because they have the money to do so. They are not restricted in any way when buying goods that they are interested in, such as cars, laptops, mobile phones, etc.
But it takes ongoing labour to sustain this opulent way of living. This over time, as a result of family members' negligence, might have a catastrophic effect on their own life.
However, maintaining good health is a vital requirement for happiness. It is not surprising that a healthy person leads a successful lifestyle and is more likely to partake in a wide range of fun activities. Strong ties with family and close friends can make people happier and more at ease. Children, for instance, are happy while playing with others or when they acquire inexpensive stuff.
Happiness in life depends on a variety of factors, including a positive relationship with our family, individual goals and objectives, and mental peace. Despite the fact that wealth may purchase materialistic joy, a poor person might frequently be happy than a rich person. Any individual may be content as long as they are sincere and fulfilled, regardless of their financial circumstances.
In closing, I want to emphasise that while having financial security is necessary for happiness, other factors must also be taken into account seriously. Even well-off individuals with physical or psychological defects are unable to fully appreciate life.
Band 6.5 IELTS Essay
Happiness is merely a mental condition, and each person is totally responsible for maintaining it. Nowadays, the vast majority of people think that having money is essential for feeling happy. However, some disagree with this idea and think there are alternative ways to be happy. The paragraphs that follow would clarify both viewpoints with suitable examples and arguments, but I favour the latter.
First off, people in the present day find success in the possessions they have, such as flashy automobiles, technology, and other items. For instance, when they spend a lot of money on goods for themselves, many people feel content, which ultimately makes them feel happy. Additionally, having high wealth and social prestige makes many individuals feel secure and satisfied, which is regarded as another sort of happiness. This demonstrates that a person's level of personal contentment is directly correlated with their economic situation.
Detractors, on the other hand, disagree with the aforementioned viewpoint, since they believe that other aspects also play a role in a person's satisfaction. First of all, it is thought that being surrounded by loved ones makes one happier. For instance, the research found that being around the people you love most—your family—causes your brain to emit a certain fluid. Second, a person's actions have a significant impact on their success, since aiding the less fortunate makes many individuals feel content and joyful. As a result, it is clear that joy is dependent on other factors as well.
In conclusion, all perspectives have merit, but it is evident that, in today's highly advanced age, the money aspect plays a major role. I believe that a person's path to happiness is entirely up to them because there are so many resources out there; they just need to explore for them.
Band 6 IELTS Essay
In this modern society, some people are looking for happiness, while others are out for financial gain. This raises the question of whether or not money can truly purchase happiness. Some claim that our level of happiness is strongly correlated with our financial situation. While others point out that there are other factors that contribute to happiness. In order to have a joyful life, in my opinion, a number of other things should be added. Both these aspects and my opinion are discussed in this essay.
To begin with, a wealthy individual can enjoy all the amenities in life. So, for many people, having money is a must for happiness. They place emphasis on the concept that money can buy anything they want, which can satisfy their needs and, in turn, bring about inner joy and tranquillity.
However, others argue that in addition to monetary capital two additional ingredients are required to make our lives joyful: satisfaction and family. For instance, a wealthy guy may experience loneliness if no one is present to share his highs and lows. As a result, he would become sad and unable to enjoy life. Moreover, when his family is there to share his emotions and act as a rock along his journey, a poor man might find contentment in himself. Furthermore, happiness adds satisfaction to their list of accomplishments. For instance, if a street vendor is content with what he has, he can be as happy as a business magnate. He lacks both a depressed spirit that would hold him responsible for his darker tendencies and a greedy intellect that yearns for greater luxury in life.
In conclusion, having money is simply a small part of the various elements that go into being happy. Even without this specific area, there are many other ways to be happy. Being wealthy and experiencing euphoria are thus two distinct concepts that have little in common when used together.
