Answer 1:

Who this person is?

I’d; like to give credit to a few of the individuals surrounding us who helped us become the person we are today. We owe those people, without whose help we wouldn’t be here today. The major role in our character and personality development can be accredited to our teachers, who are the mason of our life. I would like to talk about my English teacher, who has influenced me to do better in my life. The person I am right now is due to the efforts and strictness of my English teacher.

How you know him/her?

He was Mr. Hang Sen, my English teacher at my college. He had organized an“English Composition” class, where I first came to know about him. I wanted to enroll myself in that class, but the class was already full.

What this person does?

Initially, my request for enrolment to the English Composition class was denied due to the huge number of applicants in China. Very limited seats were available, but later I managed to get special permission from Mr. Hang. Though he was quite unhappy seeing me, asking for his special permission, unwillingly he had allowed me to his class, nonetheless. I was in the seventh cloud, to get the chance to attend his class.

From the very first day, Mr. Hang mentioned that what he meant is only business and that he will make English really easy for us. He would also ask the students individually whether they had understood his lecture or not. He would even ask us about our daily schedule, about the number of hours spent studying English.

How this person has influenced you to do better in life?

I was really bad at English. It was only for Mr. Hang that I was inspired to do better in life. He was never ready to give up on students like me (who were bad in English). I have learned to express my thoughts in English only because of his relentless efforts. I have learned from him the secret of never giving up my dream despite innumerable times of failure, and the difficult circumstances around me.

Who this person is?

My father has been my role model since I was a kid. Just like many children, my father is my hero. The sacrifices that all fathers make to bring a smile to their families are incomparable.

How you know him/her?

He is my greatest guide and has always been my inspiration. I get influenced in all the stages of my life to fight against every odd, to be a good human being, to be successful, and to be a happy person. I look up to being a father to my children the same way he had been to me.

I bear some genetic codes he has. My psychological development is shaped by my father when I was very closely attached to my father. Even today I feel that there exists a very strong bond between my father and me, just as in my childhood.

What this person does?

He is a physics professor at a University. He is a much-revered master to his pupils. But those who know him in person, say that he has an honest and humble personality. He likes reading books and visiting historical places, and he is very foody, as he never misses any new cuisine that arrives in the city. One of his hobbies is catching fish.

On every weekend, he goes to try his tough luck in catching fish. Also, he manages to take out time for watching classic movies. One of his favorite Hollywood classic movies is 'It's a Wonderful Life. Besides, he is very strict with his routine and very punctual. He gets angry about two things, one is when someone fails to keep his/her promises, and another is when students cheat in their examinations.

How this person has influenced you to do better in life?

He has been my greatest shield, and mentor in protecting me from the dangers, or encouraging me to try again and again after my falls. He has invisibly shaped my character and personality. He made me a better person. He showed me the light in the darkness. He taught me how to survive and thrive in this big world.

Answer 3:

Who this person is?

My sister has been the best guide in my entire life. She helped me look through my flaws and work on myself so that I could get to bring the best out of myself.

How you know him/her?

She was only five years elder than me, yet she was my mother, and mentor, and guided me in every way possible. Though she is not with me anymore at present, still she is the best guide I will ever get in my life. My mother is a doctor by profession, and this demanded she works overtime. My father is an employee of a Multinational Company, so he had to stay 7 months away from home.

What this person does?

Therefore, my sister is my world. She accompanies me in everything I did, she taught me how to read and write, how to swim, and how to dress up. She helped me to frame my personality and shaped my characteristics. I could stay with her only for a few years but learned a lot from her.

She used to work in a private firm during the last few days of her life.

She loved window shopping, I remember every weekend, we used to plan for shopping. She also loved watching movies. I guess she was the first customer of the cinema halls that used to release a new film. She wouldn't miss the chance of getting the tickets for the first day's first show. She was also tremendously good in her studies.

How this person has influenced you to do better in life?

She was very generous, humble, and a kind human being. Besides, she had immense patience. This is one of the many things that I have learned from her, which is to keep calm and go on trying unless I achieved my dream. Today I am a graduate in Mathematics from a very renowned university. I am lucky that I had such a person in my life, but I would be better if I could get her longer in my life. Yet, now I cherish those days with her and feel blessed that I had her in my life, even though it is for a few years.
