Topic: People's behaviour and ways of life vary (greetings, table manners and clothing) from country to country. It is sometimes said that when people are visiting another country, for example on business or for a holiday, they should behave in the same way as the inhabitants of that country. Do you agree or disagree?

The development of modern global connectedness has been aided by the travel sector. The majority of professionals working in multinational companies also need to travel frequently for business or pleasure. The statement that people should act appropriately and modify their table manners. Or their methods of introducing themselves to locals when travelling abroad is one that this essay wholeheartedly supports.

In the paragraphs that follow, we'll go into more detail on how changes in behaviour throughout a visit can be both pleasant and a way for everyone to bond. First of all, adjusting to the new cultural norms of a different country might be enjoyable. It is an excellent chance to explore cultural differences and learn to appreciate other people's fashion choices or social graces. As an illustration, it might be a pleasurable experience for an American traveller to India to attempt to eat traditional meals like "Dosa" with their hand. A fresh learning experience is also provided by eating with your hands. So having a Roman heritage in Rome is advantageous. In order to comprehend another country's culture, it is crucial to establish connections with other nationals by using the local greeting. The secret to bringing things back from a place is to learn via experience. When Canadian travel to India, for example, if they learn to welcome with "Namaste" rather than "Hello," it might be a nice way to connect with the Indians. This could help people understand Canadian Indians better. To sum up, when people travel to another nation, they alter their way of life, and it is advantageous to do so whether they are there for business or pleasure. In my opinion, I entirely concur with it because it does no damage to alter your habits in order to fully comprehend the local way of life in various nations.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

A high rate of growth is currently being seen by the tourism sector. People frequently travel abroad for vacations and business trips as a result of the expansion of the transportation sector and travel packages. There is continuing discussion about whether foreign tourists should observe local traditions and manners while they are in the host nation.

Below are a few passages where I talk about this. First of all, when tourists from other nations travel there, they bring their culture with them. It will be beneficial for them to have better communication with the locals if, however, they adopt local customs throughout their stay in the host nation. While this is happening, they will find it simpler to interact with the locals once they have adapted to their behaviour. This will also make it easier for the locals to comprehend visitors. The foreigner will also benefit from having a solid understanding of local customs and traditions thanks to this. In turn, more and more people are drawn to the local culture as a result of this understanding, which enables our culture to become more widely known. This in turn draws a large number of tourists from different nations to the area. The tourism business will grow as a result, and it will also assist provide job opportunities in allied fields. On the other side, when foreigners interact with locals and share their culture and behaviour, it helps the latter to better understand the former's culture. The perception of foreigners and their cultures by the local populace will be greatly impacted by this. Additionally, it allows individuals a chance to recognise the problematic elements of their culture and make changes as a result. To sum up, a balanced interchange of cultures and social norms will help countries to get along and defuse any potential tensions. Additionally, both countries' economies will benefit from this.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

Some people urge people to embrace and accept the different cultures that tourists have brought to their countries. While others think that visitors should act in accordance with the laws and traditions of the country they are visiting. This essay makes an effort to discuss both points of view. The earliest groups that argue that locals should respect travellers' cultural traditions think it can be appropriate to introduce new cultures to a society.

In other words, travellers can teach people new things and can aid in raising society's knowledge of the many ways of life around the globe. On the other hand, these groups think that both individuals and governments should be adaptable. Moreover, if they want to succeed in the tourism sector and draw in more visitors, they should be open to diverse cultures. Many nations are in competition with one another to attract tourists for vacations. And if they don't respect diverse cultures, they risk losing out in this race. Others, on the other hand, are concerned about their regional traditions and customs. And they believe that foreigners' introduction of new cultures and ways of life to a country poses a severe threat to those traditions. Or, they think that when visitors visit other countries, they might be interested in the cultures of other nations. And as a result, they might forget about their own. For instance, local clothing might be designed to replace a new fashion trend, or new meals might be created to replace old favourites. As a result, they constantly expect visitors to act in accordance with local laws. For instance, in some Islamic nations, the government forbids tourists from consuming alcohol or requires female tourists to wear particular attire. As a result, I believe that when travelling to new places, tourists always want to learn about and experience the local customs. I also believe that host countries can create opportunities for tourists to be independent while also enticing them to observe local laws and customs. It can be done by outlining their advantages. Visitors would undoubtedly want to act similarly to locals if the right tactics were taken into account.
