Topic: Some people with a good education and experience in their field decide to move abroad to work. Why do you think that is? What are the problems caused by this?

Band 6 IELTS Essay

True, most people from poor countries with great academic credentials and significant expertise in their professions migrate to wealthy countries. They do this with the goal of becoming successful with better employment possibilities and a higher quality of life. However, allowing qualified employees to work overseas can cause a lack of skilled workers and slow down a nation's economy. I'll explain why workers migrate and what problems it could cause in this essay.

Beginning with the highest quality of life provided by the hosting country. It includes a high stipend, clean environment, tranquil and supportive working climate, and more job chances, many competent professionals migrate abroad. Recent research by Punjab University found that nearly 40% of highly qualified teachers and engineers from India moved to the United States and Canada. Especially because of the high salaries that businesses were willing to pay. Additionally, knowledgeable specialists are drawn to more exploration platforms. Some people move abroad to conduct further research in their field. As only a few wealthy countries have provided them with high-quality exploration regions with more opportunity and technological advancement. For instance, it is true that many scientists prefer to work for NASA. Because it has better research technology than the institutions in their native countries.

This development, however, has a lot of unfavourable effects. There may be a labour shortage in the home country as a result of the migration of many skilled employees. Resulting in issues with unsustainable development in some industries. For instance, a study conducted by Delhi University claims that India is experiencing infrastructure expansion problems. It is a result of a lack of engineers who have reportedly emigrated to other countries. Additionally, because fewer individuals will pay taxes, the economy of the nation will suffer. Federal taxes will be reduced as a result of this. Governments will therefore have to stop some development projects because of a lack of funding.

To sum up, even if competent workers have more opportunities to succeed and develop their skills abroad, it is generating a brain drain in their home country. To ensure that the nation's economy continues to grow, this problem needs to be resolved.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

Some highly skilled employees with academic credentials and practical talents in their field are likely to pursue a career abroad. This essay will outline some of the causes and challenges that this situation has given rise to.

Many people agree that there are two key reasons why highly skilled professionals want to work abroad. First off, in many developing nations, the government lacks sufficient authority and rewards for its contributions. People can only live with good pay and promotion prospects by having worldwide work experience.

For instance, the Vietnamese government pays 10 times less for doctors who are at the top of the hierarchy in Vietnam than it does in America. They can only achieve the high quality of life necessary to support their family when they transform into more developing nations. A creative and professional working atmosphere is another reason why a lot of people go abroad for employment. If our workplace is stimulating, working efficiency will increase.

Yet, one of the main repercussions of this brain drain issue is that it deprives the local community of top-notch services in the region. Especially the ones that are specialised in research and technology. There is a severe labour shortage in their country as a result of the exodus of so many smart workers. For instance, there are only 500 doctors accessible in India for every million people, compared to 2300 in the USA for every million people. Additionally, the loss of servicemen will lower society's intellect bar. Because younger generations depend on the wisdom and experience that their elders pass down.

In conclusion, a lot of people who are good at working decide to move to another country in search of better job prospects and a higher standard of living. However, this trend has negative effects on the host nation's intellectual standard and produces damage to the economy.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Some highly educated and skilled people desire to immigrate to and work in more developed countries. This tendency has a wide range of causes, and it also causes a lot of issues. The idea that they may land better-paying work in wealthy nations is to blame for this. The economic climate in their home nations, however, can be impacted by this exodus.

The improved career possibilities in wealthier countries are the main factor driving skilled individuals to relocate abroad. Many people are not compensated well enough to make ends meet in their country despite their education and skills. For instance, in Egypt, doctors working in government hospitals barely make $50 per month. They will therefore go to Western European nations where doctor salaries are significantly greater on a monthly basis. Additionally, more developed nations offer better prospects for career progression. After a few years, an engineer employed by a German corporation can advance to a managerial position. But the management board is typically made up of family members in many Chinese businesses. Despite their skills and education, many Chinese workers are unable to grow. As a result, people look for employment in other nations that provide better options for job advancement and better career prospects.

The developed nation's economy benefits from this trend. However, their home nations will experience significant service loss. The healthcare and educational systems will experience a staffing deficit if teachers and doctors immigrate to other nations. They will have a very tough time hiring intelligent, qualified candidates for these positions.

In conclusion, people go to work in other nations because of greater employment possibilities in terms of monthly income and promotion potential. The target country's economy benefits from this tendency. But the healthcare and educational systems in their own countries may suffer greatly as a result.
