There are different opinions on what kind of international aid is more effective for third-world countries. In my opinion, monetary aid is less practical than other kinds of helpful assistance and advice. On the other hand, I understand that some people argue that it is best to provide financial aid to developing countries.

Firstly, financial aid from developed countries allows poor countries’ governments to implement important infrastructure measures such as health systems, fresh water, and electricity supplies. This helps to avoid development stagnation and promote the economic development of the country. Secondly, foreign currency injections are essential to maintain an effective administrative system when government tax revenues are insufficient. They pay the salaries of civil servants in all sectors of the country's government. On the other hand, I agree with those who think that other forms of support should be provided. Sustainable growth depends not only on money, but also on how the country is governed and managed, especially diplomacy and solving serious problems such as poverty, crime, and unemployment. It is true that least-developed countries do not have enough experience in this field, highlighting the need for leadership and advice from other more experienced governments and organizations. Moreover, even with financial support, third-world countries need experts in science, law, and medicine to sustain development in these areas.

However, only scientists, lawyers, and doctors can be trained, so specialized and systematic education and training programs are more practical and appropriate in the context of developing countries. In summary, based on the above arguments, it seems to me that instead of financial support to poor countries, world aid should be provided in another form, for example in the form of advice or education.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

World organizations are providing aid to underdeveloped countries. People all over the world have different views on this. Some believe that help is absolutely necessary, while others believe that practical help and advice is needed.

I believe that financial aid is more beneficial than other types of aid. Finance is the key to any area of development of a country. Infrastructure and food are worth mentioning as both sectors require a lot of money to develop. Building infrastructure to serve all its citizens requires huge funds that some underdeveloped countries cannot afford, at least not until they reach the standards of developed countries. Food is also important for developing countries as it determines the quality of their citizens. Most developing countries do not have the funds to plant fields for crops. All the mentioned sectors are just examples of how much money can benefit a country. Practical assistance or just advice is important for a country's development because some countries have a lot of development experience. Experience may be needed because planning makes the job easier. For example, showing the direct results of planning makes it easier for the government to choose a less risky path.

In addition, practical assistance can also be directly implemented, which reduces the risk of funds being tampered with. Direct implementation speeds up the development process and eliminates unnecessary problems caused by the investment of funds.

Generally, both voices are needed for a country to grow. But money is key to any development plan in underdeveloped countries around the world.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

In developing countries, assistance from international organizations is essential to support development plans. People in these countries are often willing to provide financial assistance and practical advice. Financial assistance allows organizations to allocate resources efficiently but can make them vulnerable to abuse and embezzlement by corrupt officials. In contrast, practical assistance, such as the provision of supplies and food, provides direct support without the risk of mismanagement.

However, there can be mismatches between donated goods and community needs. Despite these challenges, both approaches can produce positive results. Financial aid can provide critical resources for infrastructure development, education, and health care. However, strict controls and accountability mechanisms are needed to ensure funds are used effectively. Hands-on assistance, on the other hand, addresses immediate needs and promotes community strengthening. By directly involving local people, it promotes sustainability and self-reliance. A balanced approach is essential to maximize the impact of relief efforts. Organizations must prioritize transparency and collaboration to minimize the risks associated with grantmaking. At the same time, practical assistance efforts must be tailored to the specific needs and preferences of local communities. Additionally, capacity-building efforts enable local actors to take ownership of development projects and drive long-term change.

In conclusion, while financial and practical aid each come with their own challenges, both play an important role in supporting developing countries' development efforts. By combining these approaches and emphasizing transparency, accountability, and community engagement, organizations can promote sustainable development and improve the well-being of vulnerable populations.
