Topic: Some people say that people should have a different amount of holidays according to their job. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Band 8 IELTS Essay

It has been an argumentative point for years that the number of holidays that are awarded to employees must depend upon the nature of work. This essay provides several argumentative statements that support this notion in the preceding paragraphs.

There is no doubt that few of the job roles are mentally exhausting leaving the individuals both physically and mentally unstable. For instance, those who serve in the military need additional vacation time. It is crucial to offer them a few months off a year because they are more likely to work in locations far from their home. They are able to recharge as a result of being able to spend time with their family. People who work on oil rigs or construction sites similarly require more downtime to maintain their physical and emotional wellbeing. Therefore, while deciding how many holidays each employee should receive, it is crucial to consider the nature of the employment. On the other hand, assuming the nature of the job is the same, everyone employed in the same office should receive the same amount of holidays. It should be regardless of their designation.

For instance, if the manager receives more vacation time than lower-level workers, it could lead to resentment among the latter. Additionally, if a manager or supervisor takes too many vacation days, it may hinder the organisation's production. Because it would be difficult for them to communicate with other workers. Because of this, it's crucial to prevent these scenarios by allocating the same number of vacation days to everyone whose job requirements are about the same.

I agree, in the end, with the contention that the primary factor in choosing how many vacations each person receives should be the nature of the job.

Band 6 IELTS Essay

It is frequently suggested that the length of vacation time granted to workers should correspond with the nature of their employment. I wholeheartedly concur with this viewpoint. This is for a number of reasons, all of which are detailed in detail in the paragraphs that follow.

Compared to other jobs, some are harder on the body and the mind. For instance, those who serve in the military need extra time off. It is crucial to give them a few months of vacation each year because they are more likely to work in locations remote from their homes. As a result, they may relax and spend time with their family.

Similarly, in order to maintain their physical and emotional health, workers on construction sites and oil rigs require additional time off. Therefore, while deciding how many vacation days each employee should receive, it is crucial to consider the nature of the employment.

On the other hand, assuming that the nature of the activity is the same, everyone working in the same office. They should receive the same number of vacation days regardless of their designation. For instance, if the manager receives more vacation time than lower-level workers, it could lead to resentment among the latter. Additionally, if a manager or supervisor takes too many vacation days, it may hinder the organisation's production. Because it would be difficult for them to communicate with other workers. The only way to prevent this from happening is to grant everyone with roughly equivalent job requirements the same amount of vacation days.

I agree with the idea that the primary factor used to determine how many vacations each person receives should be the nature of the job, to sum up. Regardless of their position in the organisational hierarchy, employees who perform the same type of work should be entitled to the same amount of holidays.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

In modern society, people have more opportunities to spend holidays. All thanks to the growth of industrialization and the astounding improvement in working efficiency. Consider a scenario in which you are travelling to a location that is completely unfamiliar to you. Your first step would be to find housing. But when you discover that every hotel, restaurant, shop, and even the bank is closed on a significant holiday. These holidays can be days like Christmas or Thanksgiving, you'll be unhappy. You and Robinson Crusoe, who was abandoned on a deserted island with no one to aid him and no hope, are in the same situation right now.

Governments and businesses come up with practical and adaptable holiday rules to ease the embarrassment while also bringing convenience to the public. Because it ensures the timely completion of production goals and orders on the one hand. Further, providing workers with enough downtime on the other hand, shifting is frequently used by factories and manufacturers. If overtime is required, workers must put in extra time in exchange for a bonus to make up for the lost holiday.

Different circumstances apply to banks and other public services. Supermarkets, department stores, eateries, and retailers benefit greatly from the holidays. The weekend is a time when some people enjoy hosting gatherings or feasts with their friends. However, others choose to shop in department shops, which brings in significant revenue for merchandisers. Banks are required to be open Monday through Sunday due to high cash flow. Teachers benefit from unusually extended breaks. Since they can prepare their lectures and courses for the upcoming semester while also taking some time to themselves. Long vacations are good for students' health as well as that of teachers.

I believe that various persons should have varying amounts of vacation time according to the variety of job features. At first glance, this concept appears unjust. On second thinking, though, it makes sense and is reasonable.
