Topic- People in the community can buy cheaper products nowadays. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

OR

Do you believe the benefits of a consumer society outweigh the disadvantages?

Model Answer 1:

It is self-evident that owing to industrialization, consumers may purchase things at a cheaper cost in our day and age. While I recognize that there are some disadvantages, I believe that they are exceeded by the advantages.

On the one hand, there are undoubtedly certain drawbacks to purchasing lower-cost goods. It goes without saying that buyers should evaluate product quality. To create low-cost items, a firm may employ resources that are not guaranteed in order to balance the amount of capital and profit it makes. People who use such a product for an extended period of time are certainly at risk of developing health concerns such as cancer.

Furthermore, as a result of the increased output, there will be more trash and emissions disposed of, which will worsen pollution in the environment. On the other hand, I do not feel that the benefits will outweigh the disadvantages. When individuals are given cheaper items, the largest benefit is that they may save a significant amount of money on everyday expenditures, which they can then spend on other essential elements such as education or housing. Furthermore, it will benefit low-income families by providing them with a variety of alternatives for improving their living conditions. Another advantage is that demand for purchasing com will increase. Another advantage is that, as prices decrease, there will be an increase in demand for goods. As a result, the quicker the national economy expands, the more people spend. Manufacturers aren't the only ones that benefit from this phenomenon; other sections of the supply chain do as well. To summarise, I believe that the benefits of buying cheaper items for consumers and the economy have more than compensated for the disadvantages.

Model Answer 2:

People can buy items at reduced prices because of the advancement of technology and the fact that they live in a metropolis. While I believe that this possibility has certain advantages, I am afraid that the disadvantages it presents might be harmful to living civilization.

It is understood that being able to purchase things at a lower cost is quite advantageous. The ability to save money is perhaps the most important benefit of this trend. Consumers may now devote a bigger percentage of their monthly budget to important requirements, such as improved education and nutrition, rather than spending a huge chunk of their money on clothing or basic necessities, as they did in past years. Furthermore, the availability of low-cost goods gives customers more purchasing options and increases total consumption. Because items have grown more inexpensive and accessible, even low-income individuals may now acquire a variety of consumer goods to meet their various needs. People from all walks of life may now live well without spending a fortune.

However, I am certain that buying cheaper items has drawbacks that appear to outweigh the advantages. First and foremost, this tendency poses health risks to both customers and workers. Manufacturers may tolerate the use of potentially hazardous chemicals and low-quality substances in order to save money, which will surely harm consumers' health. Furthermore, mass manufacturing is linked to worker exploitation and international outsourcing, making poor nations labor-intensive. Second, the cost-effectiveness of this approach cannot be assured because low-cost items typically have a limited shelf life and poor quality. As a result, customers may not only not save money, but may also have to pay more than they should to repair or acquire new items.

Model Answer 3:

It is true that goods prices are decreasing these days. Although this tendency may help people of all socioeconomic levels, I feel the drawbacks outweigh the benefits.

On the one hand, there are certain advantages to purchasing less expensive goods. To begin with, there is no division between the lower and upper classes; unlucky people may also catch up with the contemporary world. Those with a lesser income, for example, can purchase a smart TV, an air conditioner, and other items without considering the cost to meet their fundamental necessities. Second, low-cost items tend to attract more consumers, which may add to a country's economy.

Taxes are a portion of the price that consumers must pay when purchasing goods. These taxes will be used by the government to fund a variety of services, including healthcare, leisure, and education. Finally, as more people want to buy cheaper goods, more businesses are springing up to fulfill the growing demand for such goods. As a consequence, the country's unemployment problem may be addressed.

On the other hand, in addition to the benefits of low-cost items, there are a number of difficulties that consumers may face while purchasing low-cost goods. One of the issues is that low-cost items are often associated with poor quality. As a result, consumers should think about it while placing an order. When cheaper imports from China initially entered the American, European, and Asian markets, customers rapidly discovered that products like electrical goods didn't operate or broke down quickly, and the materials themselves were not durable. Another issue is that this might result in unfair market competition.

Some businesses put a lot of time and money into developing items, yet they rarely sell because customers prefer to buy products that are low-cost. In conclusion, the disadvantages of low-cost items outweigh the benefits since low-cost food is frequently of poor quality and produced in unsustainable methods.
