Topic: Some people feel that it is better to live in a city while others believe that life is better in the countryside

Model Answer 1

Life is what we make it. What it means is how our life gets shaped is determined by how much effort we are doing in making it beautiful. While some like to lead a simple life in the suburbs, others like the lavish lifestyle that the city offers. I am in the opinion that city life should be preferred by most and people should find ways to migrate to cities.

Firstly, cities offer a plethora of opportunities which the countryside lacks. Right from the beginning, when a child has to be admitted to a school, cities offer quality education in forms of school that focus on the holistic development of the child. For higher studies too, cities have the best-rated universities. Job opportunities too are more in cities as compared to the countryside. Even those who aren’t well educated find some kind of employment in cities based on their skills. Cities are those who want to achieve their big dreams by working really hard as well as by partying harder on the weekends to rejuvenate themselves. In a way, it balances out the week full of stress through the recreational options that it offers.

Although some people do not like the fast-paced life of cities, the city embraces them wholeheartedly. It doesn’t have a preference of welcoming only the rich or the intelligent. Cities, through their multitude of conveniences in the form of transport, communication, security and career options offer something to everyone. The tough competition to thrive and be at the top of the ladder actually helps people to shape their lives in the right direction and gives them the freedom to make choices.

In conclusion, settling in cities will enable people to lead a better life that gives them the ability to choose what they think is best for them.

Model Answer 2

To live in a city or the countryside should be a matter of personal choice. While the hustle of city life gives stress thereby inviting a lot of sicknesses, the countryside isolates individuals from opportunities. In my opinion, living in the countryside is like living a sweet melody. It is peaceful, calm and without any stress.

Countryside refers to a rural area that has open fields, pastures and greenery all around. Life in the countryside looks very still but full of solace. The quietness it offers is rejuvenating for the soul. The fresh air that touches the skin fills it with a new set of energised tissues.

The melodious chirping of the birds soothes the ears. The lack of pollution whether it be land, water or air, makes it a healthy alternative to living life. Humans need to realise that it is important to live a healthy life with less money rather than an unhealthy life with lots of money. A striking feature about living in the countryside is also the fact that people can stay rooted in their rich tradition and culture.

In cities, it is often found that the people carry the stress of work to their homes which leads to fragmented relationships. The countryside is above this problem. People have really strong bonds with each other and often stand by each other's side in times of need. The display of unity and harmony can be found in the countryside.

In conclusion, the quality of life that the countryside offers weighs more than what cities offer. Therefore, people should recognize the real meaning of living their lives and come back to nature.

Model Answer 3

Finding a place to live is vital for human beings. Since antiquity, humans have travelled to places to find the best place to live. Living a nomadic life did not serve them any good and eventually, they settled down. The countryside was eventually developed by them which was further transformed into different cities that we see today. To choose one to lead a life would be completely dependent on the personal preference of people. Some might find city life better, others find the countryside more settled.

The countryside offers peace and tranquillity but lacks opportunity. Cities offer opportunity but lack peace of mind. People are continuously in a rush chasing their dreams. They do not have time to pause and question their life choices. It is a way of living where one is born, gets an education and makes money through the jostle. The air, land, water- all are affected due to the choices people are making in cities and they live with those choices as they do not have any options. In the countryside, however, there is freshness in nature and humans can find time for themselves and their loved ones but the economic condition is not good enough to support a luxurious life. They lead a simple life that does not have much stress but accessibility is a major question. Even when people have to reach their family members who have chosen to live in cities over call, they have to walk long distances to get network coverage. Transport is minimal in the countryside and most people cannot afford to own a personal vehicle.

Both have their pros and cons and it is a personal preference. No place is the ultimate location for settling. However, in my opinion, one should look for the quality of life rather than longevity due to fewer worries or challenges.
