Band 8 IELTS Essay

It is frequently claimed that individuals with substantial salaries will spend more by making more purchases. The advantages of this culture are enormous, including raised living standards and national economic development. Notwithstanding a few minor, in my opinion, downsides of this trend.

First off, the improvement in societal living conditions brought on by the pay increase is the main justification for encouraging the aforementioned tendency. This indicates that increased income encourages people to assist others who are experiencing financial hardships. In addition to assisting them in showcasing their status in society. To demonstrate his influence, Mr. Elon Musk recently sold some of his Tesla stock to donate to a charity that helps the elderly. It follows that if someone makes a lot of money, it is obvious that they would be willing to help out those in need in an emergency. Savings for the future are eventually reduced due to an excessive lifestyle. Additionally, adopting a king-size lifestyle is simple; but, giving up a rich lifestyle due to financial difficulties is quite unpleasant. For instance, many businessmen kill themselves after their businesses fail because they are unable to lower their quality of living. The market's money circulation does, however, expand as the number of customers does. But this is insufficient to solve the difficulties caused by people's excessive spending.

Furthermore, consumers who indulge in excess contribute to the market's increased cash flow. In the long run, this results in a surge in financial transactions, which subsequently fuels global economic expansion. The World Trade Organization, for instance, contends that the market's purchasing and selling of certain goods is what causes stock values to rise. Therefore, the nature of rising income and spending by individuals reflects in their strengthening of the global economy.

In conclusion, a gain in income causes an increase in spending in many nations. This phenomena, in my opinion, is a good thing because it makes it easier for citizens to live healthier lives. Further, to assist others when needed. Eventually, the rising income triggers a rise in spending, which represents the global financial expansion.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

People now tend to buy more things than they did in the past due to the rising level of wealth that is being seen in many countries nowadays. In this essay, I'll explain why, despite the fact that there are a few negative aspects to this tendency, I think it's generally a good thing.

There are several compelling reasons why this trend is advantageous to society. But perhaps the most important is that purchasing more necessities of life can improve people's living situations. This is by allowing them to more simply and successfully achieve their higher life satisfaction and lifespan. Additionally, because it can promote economic growth, the economy will gain a lot from this. According to a recent survey done in Japan, the consumer culture is vital to the growth of the nation's economy. Therefore, these benefits have a significant influence on society.

But each coin has two sides. Because people are encouraged by various manufacturers and advertisements to buy more and more products that they don't really need. Further, they just throw them away after a while, the main negative effect of this trend is that it may result in overconsumption of products. Thus, this results in a rapidly growing amount of trash in the public. Take myself as an example; to stay current, I intend to purchase the most recent smartphone. As can be seen, this propensity also has the potential to negatively impact our society.

On the other hand, there are some undesirable effects as well. First off, spending a lot of money can result in overconsumption of goods and a quickly expanding amount of trash in society. Since different manufacturers and commercials push people to buy an increasing number of goods they don't read and then simply toss them away after a time. For instance, in order to stay up with the times, I want to get the most recent smartphone. As can be observed, this tendency may also have a negative effect on our society.

In conclusion, because individuals are earning more money than in the past, they choose to spend more on a variety of goods. If I take everything into account, I'm tempted to believe that this evolution has more positive features than bad ones.

Band 6.5 IELTS Essay

People's spending on goods and services has increased significantly during the last several years. It may be stated that people are spending more money today because they are earning more than their forebears did. I fully agree with this statement, and in this post, I'll provide some justifications for why.

One of the most important justifications for people spending more money is that it directly helps the economy of their home nation. This is accomplished through assisting firms in expanding, which strengthens the economy. For instance, the expansion of a small grocery store would be made possible by customers purchasing goods there. In contrast, if consumers reduced their spending on various goods, it would probably have a negative effect on the economy and businesses.

Furthermore, increasing consumer expenditure will probably lead to increased job opportunities. For instance, if a little coffee shop is popular and starts getting plenty of clients every day, the employer will be forced to hire more staff. These recently formed low-class jobs may help the population of illiterates. Teenagers or students may also be observed taking up these positions. The country as a whole would have a larger workforce as a result of this employment generation, which is likely to lead to country development.

On the other side, when customers demand more goods, businesses must increase production in order to satisfy their needs. This may result in resource waste. There will be a surplus and many things will be left over. But there are several methods to make money with these sorts of goods, including lowering the price, throwing them away, or destroying them.

In conclusion, I believe that this behavior is a positive that exceeds all and any downsides. Because of the advantages afforded by increased spending on goods by the masses, such as boosting the economy and increasing job creation.
