Topic: Our personalities are predetermined as a result of our genes before we are born and there is nothing that can be done to change our character traits. To what extent do you agree?

Band 6 IELTS Essay

It is a prevalent misconception that traits cannot be modified once they have been inherited through deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) from our parents. I disagree with this idea since, despite similarities in appearance, residents and education have a significant role in a child's development of a positive attitude.

The community frequently expects that a child will be exactly like their parents because there have been numerous instances where the youngster seems to be a carbon duplicate of them. By illustrating the value of being supportive and compassionate when others are in need, society itself plays a crucial role in influencing the future generation. Society has an impact on a child's personality.

The youngsters see a motive to assist others when they witness their elderly family members providing food, care, or shelter to those in need. It is also apparent that educational institutions give us more than just the tools we need to find work and make a livelihood. It also gives us a wealth of additional guidelines for appropriate behaviour, like the etiquette of respect, humility, and gallantry. For instance, even if the father is abusive and an alcoholic, the son needs to learn how his father's terrible habit has damaged his family. Additionally, he was told not to emulate his father. Therefore, the development of this conscience is not dependent on the chromosomes.

To sum up, presumptions ought to be avoided till the child is delivered. because a newborn's experience of life will be different from that of their parents. Additionally, society and schools both have an impact on a child's personality.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

It is argued that people inherit their personalities from their genes and that they cannot be changed. This essay strongly opposes the statement. To begin, a human's personality development is determined by the quality of the environment in which they are raised and live. Second, the individual's life experiences, both good and bad, will shape their character.

To begin with, the environment in which the child is raised has a significant impact on their personality development. Furthermore, the behavior of the child's immediate and extended family members has a significant impact on his or her personal development. Because they will grow up watching them. For example, my daughter always says 'Thank you and Bye' before hanging up the phone because she sees me do it when I attend meetings. She also likes to call the speaker, as I do during official meetings.

Every person is exposed to both good and bad things in life. Some people's lives may be made more difficult by the fact that they must change themselves to overcome adversity. These negative experiences, adversities, and setbacks often shape a person's character, making them strong and compassionate. For example, just after his father's death, my friend encountered significant financial difficulties. Now he always assists people with financial difficulties in finding work.

To summarize, certain habits are inherited through genes. An individual's personality is shaped by the values instilled in them by their parents and the maturity gained from overcoming obstacles along the way.

Individual behaviors are deliberated to be innate and linked to our hereditary elements, but it is assumed that natural personality cannot be changed. I disagree with the above-mentioned statement to some extent. Human personality is variable, and thus not constant, according to this essay.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

To begin with, God uniquely created this universe, and each of its inhabitants is unique.

This is correct; we are born with certain natural characteristics that are difficult to change. Furthermore, every creature in this universe must pass through seven stages of development, from childhood to adulthood, and so on. For example, we have witnessed various stages of development of our children, which they intimate from their senior peers as they grow. And we have discovered their innate personality traits.

Despite the fact that behavior is a variable thing, learning centers play an important role in shaping youth. Mentors are putting their efforts into gaining access to a large number of people and studying their natural and intimate personality traits. For example, many parents stated during the school enrollment process that their child is born with the trait of shyness and believes it is unchangeable. However, the instructor keeps an eye on each kid's behavior in the classroom and formulates a training plan accordingly. The repercussions of such a plan are so smart, that the same kid is now coached and trained to overcome their natural shyness. And that now a child is entirely a new person who is more confident and bold.

To summarize, personality traits can change depending on our surroundings and requirements. Although, indeed, some natural habits have not changed.
