Model Answer 1

In recent times, it has become a trend to explore distant and less visited places which have been devoid of human use to an extent.

This encourages the tourism sector to organize tours to these locations. This can lead to many opportunities for the local inhabitants. To begin with, these tours help attract more job and employment opportunities for the local people. Since the tourist has their demands and needs, new restaurants, hotels, and other attractions like marketplaces are set up. Where the natives can get the opportunity to work and entertain the tourists. These places then require cooks, waiters, cleaners, room service, etc. They can also be employed as local tour guides who can help them show around local attractions or things the place is well known for. With the increase of tourists at such places the government pays attention. Then the government takes initiatives to launch development programs for the region. It helps in development of remote areas. Also, such areas get economic stability.

Organizing tours into these distant places also helps the tourist learn and explore more of the new cultures and languages the locals follow. And can also expand their knowledge about the history and other things about the place. The hotels and restaurants might even hold performances played by the locals and that can be another contributor to the economy. Visitors get the opportunity to taste the local foods and drinks too. However, there might be some demerits as well. Such places have clean and pure surroundings. Due to visitors, cleanliness might get affected. Tourists don't take care of the place they visit. They just visit to admire the beauty but they themselves deteriorate. beauty. Also, pollution might increase due to the same. All these economic contributions can help increase the government’s budget. And can be allocated to construct schools and hospitals for the local communities. All these job opportunities provide a stable income and livelihood for the local residents.

Model Answer 2

While organized tourism has numerous benefits, it is hard to ignore its negative impacts too.

The construction of facilities like hotels and restaurants can contribute to the local species/fauna. Losing their habitat as constructing these buildings result in the cutting down of forests. This can have devastating results on the fauna as well as the local communities who rely on these forests for their everyday lives.

The resorts in these places also face environmental problems. There is a recurring issue of tourist groups leaving behind their litter and causing detrimental effects to the surroundings. There are large landfills left by tourists in localities where they choose to have adventures in. The growing number of tourist visits also puts a strain on the natural resources like land and water to fulfill the needs of the tourists. The local ecosystem is greatly affected by human usage. Furthermore, there has also been a trend of tourists disrespecting the local communities. And their beliefs like wearing dresses to religious places and not following their local cultures. Tourism can also be a major security risk as tourists can sometimes involve themselves in illegal activities. That can not only harm them but also the local people living in and around the area. The tourists sometimes disrespect the elders and the local people. As they see them beneath themselves and see their only purpose is to work for the tourists and serve them.

The environment gets degraded more and more as gasses are emitted from tour buses and cars which can disrupt the natural and clean air. Furthermore, the disposal of plastic bags and waste by tourists can be detrimental to the land and water in these places. Sometimes, the local people are overworked to serve the needs of these tourists but are treated inadequately and underpaid for the work they do. Also as the place becomes more commercialized, the resources which were available to the locals freely. May start getting restricted for the use of the corporations setting up shop.

Model Answer 3

Organized tourism has its pros as well as cons. While the idea behind it to spread the rich heritage and culture of many hidden places is a good one. It is the government’s responsibility to see to it that it is being carried out in a way that does not have negative aspects affecting the local communities. We as humans need to realize most of these distant and untouched places also contain flora, fauna. As well as local people who haven’t had much exposure to the outside world, and utilize their resources in a respectable manner.

When we as outsiders go there we are essentially encroaching upon their territory. And it is our duty as human beings to respect their home and not create situations that can be perceived as disrespectful. We should respect their beliefs and their culture and should be mindful of ourselves. Tourists should not view these places as something to exploit or just something to flaunt on social media. But rather to learn and gain more information about the history and else of the place. This might be an insulting factor. Also, due to the flaunt and their show off they throw garbage on the roads. The remote areas tend to be clean places. But due to tourist visits they slowly become dirty. There might be an increase in the polluted air due to the smoking of tourists.

The economic boost these tours generate should be used to develop these places, wildlife and nature should be protected and not exploited. The local workers should be paid adequately and not exploited. Waste should not be disposed of everywhere, rather bins should be set up for biodegradable and non-biodegradable wastes. There are several more things the government can do and take steps to ensure the preservation and cleanliness of these places.
