Model Answer 1

The way people purchase goods has undergone a major shift during the past five years. Consumers are more interested in online shopping. By the end of this fiscal year, the trend indicates that internet-based online shopping will overtake traditional retail. Despite the fact that online buying has numerous benefits, observers believe that traditional shopping has more advantages and cannot be replaced by it.
The end of the 1990s saw the beginning of online purchasing. However, the untimely dot-com bubble burst in 1999. Industry made mistakes and learned from them, and the younger generation had more innovative ideas, which helped it succeed. The major wealth producers in this sector now are Amazon in the United States, Alibaba in China, and Flipkart and Snapdeal in India.
Some of the main reasons why consumers buy online are that it is very simple to do so from the comfort of an office or a bedroom. There is no need to travel to a store and waste time there, and there is no need to worry about traffic or parking. Large discounts are frequently offered in internet stores as well. Online retailers can provide their items at lower prices, mostly due to lower overhead costs. In this age of inflation, online sites have become very useful. All of these factors caused a significant boom in the industry, which drew a lot of investment and increased employment possibilities.
Even if internet shopping appears to be the way of the future, many people think it cannot completely replace physical stores. Even if young people prefer to shop online, those who are still uncomfortable using the internet prefer to visit stores. The internet store is unable to offer wearable things like clothes, eyewear, or shoes because they must be examined for appearance and feel before purchasing. In addition, a sizable portion of the populace relies on these physical stores for their livelihood. Support for in-store shopping is thus also necessary.
It is obvious that the majority of people now purchase online, but conventional retail will continue to exist. Both shopping methods have merits. However, traditional shops must learn how to conduct business online in order to remain competitive.

Since the turn of the century, people have shown a severe diversion toward consumerism. In recent years, many people, particularly young people, have become accustomed to making purchases online. There are advantages and disadvantages to this trend. An in-depth discussion of both views is provided in this article, followed by a reasonable judgement.
First off, many individuals, particularly young adults, view offline purchasing as archaic. They provide numerous justifications to support their ideas. First off, people find it very handy to have items delivered right to their door. To elaborate, individuals can simply click once to order whatever they want rather than engaging in arduous shopping. Second, people notice that online purchases are safer, particularly during the Covid epidemic. Governments all over the world want their citizens to follow the Covid regulations and remain secure in their homes. People choose to order their necessities online as a result. For instance, according to a poll by India Today, internet retailers made 70% more money than usual during the epidemic.
But in addition to the benefits listed above, there are a lot of negative aspects to these developments. Even while online shopping sites are practical, they may harm people's ability to communicate with one another in person. To clarify, it has been established that the current generation lacks appropriate interpersonal interaction due to the encroachment of inexorable technology. Thus, the widespread use of such online purchasing could make the current issue worse. In addition, providing customers with subpar goods runs the risk of cheating them. Since there is no direct selection platform, consumers frequently have to make up for damaged or outdated goods. For instance, according to a Mumbai-based online forum, 50% of people are unhappy with the quality of online products.
In conclusion, I believe that online buying has a variety of advantages, particularly during this time of the epidemic.

Model Answer 3

One of the most notable developments of the contemporary era is the growth of the e-commerce industry. It is frequently maintained that this is a positive development, but others think it will have unfavourable effects. I completely concur that increasing internet sales has a favourable impact on the present. The advantages and disadvantages of internet shopping will be discussed in the paragraphs that follow.
Perhaps this is the primary cause of the sharp increase in support for online shopping. However, despite the Covid-19 problems, e-commerce is already growing. The bulk of people operate at a rapid pace while under stress. Due to the fact that many consumers prefer online shopping to traditional stores, e-commerce businesses such as Amazon have improved their websites.
For instance, my family and I enjoy using the digital marketplace to make purchases. Because sometimes those items are difficult to carry by themselves or are not readily available in stores. As a result, e-commerce might occasionally be a convenient approach to accessing their items and making a purchase decision.
Online buying, on the other hand, hurts the sales of small businesses. Some small businesses in this situation have to shut down. However, the government needs to either create a specific arrangement for online sales systems or assist them in this endeavour. For instance, many small businesses suffered because they couldn't compete with online retailers during the pandemic.
In conclusion, just as "every coin has two sides," this topic has both benefits and drawbacks. I will restate my position by stating that e-commerce has improved significantly over time in terms of convenience and popularity in the selling sector.
