Topic: Nowadays we see an increase in social problems involving teenagers. Many believe that it is because parents spend more time at work and less with their children. Do you agree or disagree?

Band 6 IELTS Essay

There has been an increase in the number of social issues affecting children in recent years. Some argue that the main reason for this increase is that the parents of these teen-aged children spend the majority of their time at work. And thus are unable to spend enough time with them. I completely agree with this viewpoint, and I will back it up with examples in my essay.

Without a doubt, parents today are working hard to make ends meet and provide a better future for their children. However, they are unable to give their children adequate attention while doing so. As a result, it is frequently observed that there is no one to correct their errors. As a result, these children are unable to distinguish between right and wrong behaviour and, as a result, develop personalities that are unacceptable to society. For example, these teenagers are frequently aggressive and short-tempered. Because of these characters, they are ignored by their community and are forced to live in isolation. Furthermore, it has been observed that these children frequently succumb to certain habits that lead to a disastrous life. Because working parents spend the majority of their time at work, there is no one to keep an eye on their children's actions. As a result, they develop bad habits such as drug addiction, smoking, and alcoholism. When these youths are introduced into society, they may become involved in unwanted altercations and, as a result, face legal action. If parents spend enough time with their children and understand their behavior, their children are less likely to develop these undesirable habits. In conclusion, I strongly believe that parents' proper attention to their children is critical in their offspring's upbringing. If their parents do not spend enough time with them, they may become aggressive and drawn to harmful habits.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

Children in their adolescence face numerous social issues in a variety of settings. Some attribute this to their parents' absence from their lives because they are preoccupied with their jobs. I believe that the majority of problems with teenagers are caused by parents who do not provide adequate supervision. And do not devote enough time to moral teachings.

Socio Economic problems arise in some parts of the country, including social problems involving many young people. Some people believe that it is common among teenagers who do not receive attention from their parents for a variety of reasons. These asprects are including their parents spending more time at work and forgetting about their children. This essay will explain why I strongly agree with this statement using reasons and examples. To begin with, social problems in young people are frequently caused by a lack of attention from their family, particularly their parents or guardians. In some of the documented documentaries, these young people receive the attention they seek from their peers their age or older. As a result, some teenagers were influenced more by their peers who were also involved in social issues such as drug abuse, illegal gambling, and alcoholism. Furthermore, because their parents are not present, they are free to do whatever they want. For example, due to their hectic work schedule, they frequently skip classes without informing their parents.Furthermore, the number of teenage pregnancies increased year after year. This social problem stems from a lack of guidance and knowledge from their parents. To avoid the negative effects of society, they must give their children their undivided attention and spend more time with their families. Instead of working to meet their child's needs, they often lose sight of the true meaning of care that their children require from their parents. In conclusion, this essay argued that parents spend their time at work and, as a result of their lack of attention. Thus, these contribute to the social problems that their young children are involved in.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

There are an increasing number of social issues concerning youth these days. While this could be due to a number of factors, some believe that the root cause is that parents spend more time at work than with their children. This essay will argue and provide evidence for why this viewpoint is entirely justified.

To begin with, it is true that younger generations may face problems in the outside world as a result of external factors. These factors are an inclusion of aspects such as unhealthy environments, peer influence, and mass media, to name a few. As a child grows, he or she absorbs both positive and negative behavior. And is unable to differentiate between the two, which may lead to petty crime or even juvenile delinquency. For example, some young people may commit minor offenses while under the influence of their peers, resulting in societal problems. Other than parental negligence, there are thus other factors that may contribute to these issues. In contrast, these factors are more likely to affect youth precisely. Because of the aforementioned parental negligence. Moreover, it is the responsibility of parents to establish ground rules for their child and teach him how to behave. If a parent does not pay enough attention to his or her child's upbringing, which usually occurs when they work too much. Thus, the child is likely to catch up from the surrounding environment, which could be quite unhealthy. For example, studies have shown that children from attentive families commit fewer crimes than those from neglected families. As a result, parents should spend more time with their children to nurture them. The growing number of social issues involving youth is the result of parents spending more time at work rather than with their children. Other factors, such as an unhealthy environment and peer pressure, can be mitigated by proper upbringing.
