Nowadays People are Influenced by Fashion When Choosing Their Clothes and Hairstyle IELTS Writing Task 2 consists of three sample answers provided below. Clothing has been a major interest for humans since the day they first stepped foot on our earth. Fashion nowadays has a big influence on how individuals dress and style their hair. This is a terrible development in my opinion for various reasons, which will be described more below.

To begin with, becoming a fashion icon puts one back in the pursuit of goals. For starters, fashion clothing is typically constructed of premium fabrics such as cashmere or suede, resulting in a high price tag. As a result, staying current with fashion will cost a fortune. Second, following fashion will require a lot of time from an individual since he will not only be obliged to read publications and watch the newest programmes, but he will also have to go shopping and locate the proper size of clothes.

As a result, money and time, two of the most important things in the contemporary day, are squandered when they could be used to attain another purpose, such as purchasing a better automobile. According to research, people who are interested in fashion spend 20% of their money and 40 hours each month following trends and buying garments.

Furthermore, fashion may be damaging to one's physique and health. Being stylish, as previously said, takes time and money. As a result, one will be obliged to work more while also cutting back on other costs such as going to the gym in order to give the funds required for clothing purchases. As a result, he will gradually abandon a healthy lifestyle, leading to ailments in the long run.

Given what was given, it must be remembered that individuals are sometimes forced to dress up. There are some rites of passage in everyone's life when they want to appear as gorgeous and good-looking as possible, and as it happens, stylish attire like tuxedos make individuals seem amazing.

To summarise, while appearance is important, becoming fashionable is a negative trend. This will take a lot of time and money, and it may be hazardous to one's health.

It’s a global fact that the majority of people have so much craze for top fashion outfits and hairstyles. The fashion industry manipulates and directly influences people's buying behavior. People tend to spend more than their expense limit as they are being influenced by the fashion industry and eventually leads to a negative development. So yes, I Totally agree that people nowadays are influenced by fashion when choosing their clothes and hairstyles.

Firstly, People have this mindset that using fashionable clothes and trendy hairstyles is a status symbol. But they are yet to realize that it is just to flaunt and show off. The major reason is recognition and status value. Even when they are not rich, people try to buy the most fashionable outfits and trendy hairstyles which make them look rich. There is a huge difference between ‘Looking rich’ and ‘being rich. Being influenced by fashion is a negative development.

Furthermore, People always have the tendency to become famous and get ultimate recognition. In pursuit of becoming famous people tend to follow fashion personalities and choose clothes and hairstyles the same as theirs. But they do not realize that clothes and hairstyles used by top celebrities and influencers are brand-sponsored. Brands come up with new fashion trends for every season. People get influenced and waste money. This kind of people’s mindset is definitely a negative development to society and self.

To conclude, the fashion trends on clothing and hairstyle indirectly force the people to lose their self-identity, tradition, culture, and rich heritage. The obsessive influence of fashion on people while choosing clothes and hairstyles will certainly result in negative development. People must realize that attaining a status symbol and becoming famous is not a peaceful & healthy lifestyle.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

Comfortable dressing and a decent hairstyle give confidence. But people nowadays choose trendy outfits and hairstyles as they are already influenced by the fashion industry. In terms of clothes and hairstyle, people always look for the latest fashion and trends. Brands are reaching out globally and giving more exposure to the people. People getting influenced and being up to date on fashionable outfits and hairstyles is a positive development.

Firstly, people are world citizens and they must not be trapped within boundaries. Fashion and culture tend to change across borders. When people come to know all other fashionable outfits and numerous hairstyles, they get options to choose from and use. Eventually, people get global exposure. It is a positive development because people are educating themselves about new ways of dressing and grooming. For instance, a person living in India may get influenced by the fashion trends in Europe. So people may interchange their desired fashionable outfits and hairstyles.

Furthermore, people need to be more cautious when fashion becomes commercialized. Culture-based fashion is always healthy, but celebrities and influencers pretending to be more fashionable and indirectly influencing people to choose high-cost clothes and hairstyles needs to be avoided. Following fashion and new trends is always good and informative but people must know their financial limits and real requirements. People’s heritage, cultural and social lifestyle makes a unique fashion for people from other parts of the world. They may get influenced by fashionable clothes & hairstyles and decide to use them

To Conclude, any culture-based fashion on garments and hairstyles brings people together. But Commercialized fashion creates categories among people and brings inequality into society. So people getting influenced by fashion when choosing their clothes and hairstyle is a positive development as they are not restricted to a certain custom. It is a matter of freedom of choice and freedom of opinion.
